TIP: at the 25:00 mark where you struggle to get the 2nd road to continue straight, extend the 1st road (top) out very far. Then add the 2nd and 3rd roads as parallel to the first. Then delete the unwanted section of the 1st road. Easy peasy!
I've made it to 31 minutes watching on double time. You've already spent 27 of those minutes complaining about the nodes & the roads. Anticipating the rest of the video has gotten me quite excited.
Near the end it looks like you're removing some roads so that the construction offices won't go there. A much simpler and less painful way to do it is click the + sign on the construction menu, and choose "Batch suspend construction".
Not quite, reason for the removal is so the roads wont be segmented for the conversion to gravel. This way I can do all the main roads in long stretches, then reattach the roads afterwards. Thanks for the suggestion though!
I'm honestly impressed, I've never had the patience for realistic mode, it just takes far too long to become self sufficient. I was always fine with how long buildings and roads took to build, but once I had to do the rail I always just gave in and use the auto builder.
Due to the format of the series it's probably not the best choice to learn from though if you'd like to be more specific on which aspects you found difficult to understand I can try to clarify. I hadn't really planned on doing guides but it's possible after the conclusion of the series once I have an archive of footage so I'll keep it in mind.
@@Innadiated You do something specifically and you don't like it and you keep changing it, I mean I'm trying to do it simultaneously with you, yes I'm making a good start in terms of gameplay etc. but it would be great if you could make a video and show what we need to do in the sandbox etc. at the beginning because I can't foresee the future, I built roads, bridges, but you know the state isn't working hahahahaha
@BatuhanGeceyatmaz oh you must mean during planning of stage 1. Yea its because need to size everything up. I'd suggest waiting until you see the plans and then following along based on the design. Less changes in 1961 and 1962. The upcoming ones 1963+ are a lot more focused on the management side. Like I said I'll consider an actual guide once I have a large enough archive of footage.
Love this game and play everyday but 7h for 2 streets and 3 buildings... why don't you speed up the game? Can you please explain why you play that way? ;@
I want the entire series to be realtime. In 1960 there is not much to do, 1961 is a bit busier, 1962 and beyond have a lot going on and would end up utilizing fast forward a lot less so I decided to make the entire thing realtime play, no fastforward timelapse or cuts. Paving the roads before introducing all the additional sections is essential as they will be a lot more difficult to upgrade after theyre filled with critical traffic. Also, because as far as I can tell nobody else is doing this on youtube in a similar way. BTW, not sure if you actually got to the end but I do build (plan) for quite a bit more around the 5 hour mark after the layout is paved.
