That's ridiculous!!! You can tell by the way her house is decorated that she had it fixed up nice before that!
Those little apartments were built all over the country. They were nice cheap places back in the day. They were made in a factory like a doublewide trailer and shipped out and assembled onsite.
Insulation above that ceiling probably soaked & heavy. Good rain that ceiling is going to fall. That's terrible & definitely a health hazard
