As much as I love my flip, I will admit that mine does have a few flaws (flaws feels like the wrong word but it's the best one my sleep deprived self can come up with right now.) One of them been how much it heats up. All my samsung phones have had this problem to be honest but my flip will easily heat up from just messaging which is kind of a bummer really. I never really do anything else on the phone other then message and play around with the wallpapers occasionally. Another thing is that cases I buy for it always seem to be off sized slightly (if that makes any sense at all) and they're always slightly too big for the phone so buying cases for it is awkward. I would buy the cases from Samsung but they feel a little too pricey considering what you are paying for really. Secondly, The life of the battery decreases a fair bit. My battery use to last me on average about 12 to 15 hours but now I feel like I am charging the phone up every 5 to 10 hours. These are just a couple of things to keep in mind I suppose when looking at this phone. Apart from that though, It's a pretty good phone and I would recommend it.
You should take your phone to checkup at Samsung if you phone heats up just from messaging and short battery life. I think is a major improvement on the battery comparing to zflip3. I love my phone.

If you're looking at it specifically to see how noticeable it is. So of course you're going to notice it. When you're using the device in normal life it's barely there. It doesn’t bother me at all. I love my zflip.

No worries it’s not just the flip cause I have an iPhone and it also hears up a lot
Maybe check your setting?
You should have the option to optimize battery life and change that apps won't run in the background.

You might be able to find an unbranded case with ring palette. I have not seen ring palette itself for zflip4.

I clean my phone once I get home and before bed so I’m not really worry about dust resistant. This phone is more durable than it looks
With the ring case you are supposed to clip it into the bottom half

Yes, on some flexible loose case but not recommend.
