This song is fun on drums. Hard though, I haven't seen a good drummer play it yet on TH-cam. We're doing it in jazz band and it's freaking hard but practice it enough and it's actually really great for improv around the beat. And the solo's a lot of fun. Different kind of jazz than swing.

I am curretly earng out the second half the tenor solo for my ato sax, its pretty tough, does anyone have the music written down for the second half of thetenor solo by any chance, just so i can check and make sure i dont make nay errors, I just love the original and do not wish to add my own things even though i could.

well i certainly do give you props for that good sir/madam! i play trumpet which makes it slightly easier but a bit harder as well to play. my friend has it down like entirely and he is on trombone!
Played this on tenor when I was in grade 10 in a high school band... brings back good memories.
I get the opportunity to play the bass line for this song. My jazz band read this piece this morning, and I can't wait to get it on the road.

I loved playing this song in high school. I played the fluegel duet with tenor, it was a fun lick.

lol the band in playing in has a trombone and tenor solo...our first tenor has injured finger, so band director is playing it for now x]
