💡Currently, I'm focusing the majority of my time to writing on Medium and Newsbreak. Great video, Hudson! Here's to a great 2024 with lots of writing for us all. I haven't stopped in on TH-cam for a few weeks, so wanted to come check out what you have new here. Trisha Faye
Great share, thank you. I´ve been writing for 15 years and have never thought of using my skills in these ways. Do you have a video to help writers to choose a good subject to focus on to implement these methods?
Awesome! I'm glad you enjoyed it. And, hmmmm, that's a good question. 🤔 I don't have a specific video about choosing topics. But, I'll add it to my list. It's a great idea. 🙂🙏
Thank you for sharing this valuable information. I have a question: if you are writing on several platforms like medium, Hashnode and substack etc. Do you write different articles for each platform or somehow link the all?
So, it's a constant balancing act. It's definitely smart to repurpose content when you can. For example, a snippet from a Medium article can double as a great newsletter post. Or, you could expand on a news article to turn it into a longer blog post. Personally, I have so many different interests I just end up writing different content for each platform. 😅 But, it's a lot more efficient if you can stick to a consistent niche across platforms.🙂🙌
@hudsonrenniewrites Hi!! Comin at your online presence a newbie Blasting through a decade deep of boring ass stagnent dry wall like.. WHO is THIS breath of fresh air??!! Indeed your writing journey will DEFINITELY be one that I follow! May I please ask for platform resource recommendations?? Medium, stack, hash, ... list all I need tye help!!!
Nice and informative video, thank you 😊 I was debating to start my writing in Reddit, after this video, I think I should start with Medium? (I want to write about my experience working for tiktok)
You’re very welcome! I think Medium is a great fit for your niche. Marketing, business, and social media are really popular topics on Medium. Reddit is a great place to answer questions as well, but it’s better suited to promoting links (newsletters, products, etc.). 🙂🙌
so happy to find your channel . I'm an online teacher and also want to monetize writing . Because I do want to be a professional writer and I do need the job. I'm just browsing and it look so informative and well done, but do most of your videos apply to all nationalities? Thanks a lot .
I'm glad to found me. And, for the most part, yes. The only barrier is payment providers, depending on where you live. Medium & Newsbreak technically don't accept writers from every country to their monetization programs, but there are ways around it. 🌏💰
thanks, Hudson. I'm curious about the work routine of writers, especially in our generation. I feel sometimes I need to copy others' habits to maintain myself on the authoring.
Personally, I like to wake up and write for about 1-2 hours first thing in the morning. Then, I usually exercise or go outside for a walk, come back, and write for 1-2 more hours. As a rule of thumb, I try not to push myself past 4-5 hours of focused work per day as writing isn't something you can force. And, I often see diminishing results past the 4-5-hour mark. 🙂🙌
@@hudsonrenniewrites great! I think I make it so hard, OWING TO obligate myself to work and write more than 6 hours in a day. thanks for sharing your scheduale.
@@ZaynabKoohyar That's very common! I used to burn myself out trying to write for 8 hours+ per day (like a conventional job). But, when it comes to creative work, less is more. 🙂👏
Love The videos man, do you know what would be the best ad network for views on a page is. Not click on the ads just views for the ads. I get anywhere from 20k to 100k views on my website a month from social medias.
Hmm, that's a good question. 🤔💭 I don't, actually. I've only ever written on platforms with internal traffic and used social media to promote them. Hosting my own blog is on my list to explore, though. What are you using to host your website?
@@hudsonrenniewrites Hostinger and word press for the posting. It's probably the best combination out there. I just need to get money for view of ads not clicks.
A lot of writers are experiencing a dip in earnings, recently. 🥲 The main reason is that Medium reduced the pay for external views -- in addition to eliminating free reads for non-members.
I actually haven't used Twitter since it converted to "X". And, to be honest, I never found it very valuable for Medium articles -- it works better for selling products, services, or non-paywalled blogs. But, I do have a new video on Medium coming out next week! 🙂🙌

Please do you know what's wrong with earnings on Medium because the earnings are now low. So What should I do?
