2008 I was in my college in a costal province China, the first several week I kept get knowing new students from all over the country. One girl who is a Musiln from Xinjiang, I clearly remembered she majored in law. Somehow we talked about tuition fees, cause I have just paid my tutuion fee at the beginning of the new term and I will continue to do so every term in the next 4 years. However, she told me she don't have to pay tuition fee because she belongs to minority ethnic group in China, she took a special program to study law without having to pay tuition fee. I have lost the contact with her but I wish her all the best. Chinese love their musilin brothers and sisters for sure, and we print their language on Chinese money!

A few days ago, we visited Chengdu and dined at a little eatery that was owned by a Xinjiang muslim family. Business is booming, and the family is happy living in Chegdu. We also noticed they dressed up in their own costumes, and of course, we communicated with Mandarin. No forcing because it's only natural to learn the language for easy communication. We didn't ask him about politics, but his move to Chengdu speaks volume.

actually we went to skiing in Xianjiang last year twice which is super nice. Also people were so friendly there with good food. The simple truth is: there is no incentive for China to do anything close to the G word for their Uyghur minority. The G word happens under a series of conditions: 1. The country is in crisis (think Germany, Turkey etc in modern times). China isn’t. In fact it’s in its new renaissance 2. There is danger for the country to lose control of the area completely (think US in the Middle East). China doesn’t. In fact, virtually all the countries surrounding XJ are allied with China and having good partnerships in business. There is zero danger of any of the central Asian countries to absorb XJ. 3. Country is an apartheid country founded on single ethnic-nationalism. China isn’t. Both the ROC and PRC identifies the Chinese nationality as multi ethnic. China is also historically and traditionally an assimilating country, not segregationist or apartheid country So there is no incentive period. You have to come up with an actual argument for why they would do the G word. Otherwise you are just talking out of your A hole.

全国实行计划生育的时候对于少数名族是不限制的，就从这一点就可以看得出对于少数名族的优待。

我是中国人在这片土地上生活了44年，我们国家有56个民族包括维吾尔族，这个多民族能团结共处这在任何一个国家都不曾发生过，现在政府规定富裕城市必须点对点帮扶另外一个欠发达城市，这就是共产党的"共同富裕"策略！少数民族在中国还享有特殊待遇，比如升学加分，购房补助，就业优先，生育放宽等等。所以汉族人都非常羡慕少数民族，这就是团结的真正原因。我想说中国的大门永远向友好的世界人民敞开，用你的眼睛看看真实的中国！不要只相信恶意的西方灌输的虚假信息！
不要说过了。中国虽有56民族但百分之九十多都是汉族，所以很容易”团结”。因为少数民族人太少了不容易搞分裂。人数少也容易让汉族人同情，《加分就加分呗，反正就那么几个人》比如西藏是最有危险分裂的，所以中国不让国外人随便到西藏旅游。美国打比方才是真正的多民族国家。光白人就只剩百分之六十了（白人之内就有好多民族）。如果中国少数民族突然一下子变成百分之四十了，但还有那么多优胜权，你就看着团结马上就没了。哪个地方其实都一样。

@@star-jy1pc 当时汉族占有98%，所以可以牺牲一点因为如果汉族持续这样的数字中国就不能被认可为“多民族国家”。但只允许下降一点，不可能超过20%。所以现在不是所有民族都计划生育统一了？ 以后少数民族其它优先权待遇也会消除。

actually we went to skiing in Xianjiang last year twice which is super nice. Also people were so friendly there with good food. Also Xianjiang students can get extra points to get into university as minorities benefit. This season Xianjiang is the most popular tourist attraction in China and so crowded nowadays ❤

This guy gets it. We don’t need to discuss moral relativism between the two countries. The simple truth is: there is no incentive for China to do anything close to the G word for their Uyghur minority. The G word happens under a series of conditions:
1. The country is in crisis (think Germany, Turkey etc in modern times). China isn’t. In fact it’s in its new renaissance
2. There is danger for the country to lose control of the area completely (think US in the Middle East). China doesn’t. In fact, virtually all the countries surrounding XJ are allied with China and having good partnerships in business. There is zero danger of any of the central Asian countries to absorb XJ.
3. Country is an apartheid country founded on single ethnic-nationalism. China isn’t. Both the ROC and PRC identifies the Chinese nationality as multi ethnic. China is also historically and traditionally an assimilating country, not segregationist or apartheid country
So there is no incentive period. You have to come up with an actual argument for why they would do the G word. Otherwise you are just talking out of your A hole.
