Love the content, and partially agree with you saying we won’t know how good of a hire it is until you get half way through the season. The part I think a lot of fans are missing and you even slightly touched on is talent. If you remember Guidry in 2023 everybody was praising him and his defense, but in 2024 everyone is saying he needs to go. What is the difference in those 2 seasons for him? Talent, you had 2 nfl safety’s in 2023 that made it to where you don’t have to worry about the secondary as much and opponent QB’s have to hold the ball longer to find an opening which lets that front 7 get to the QB. In 2024 we knew the secondary was going to be an issue at the start of the season and then we lose Damari game 1 so opponent QB’s knew the could get rid of the ball faster because they almost always had openings to throw to. I do know there are exceptions to this but generally speaking if we would have just upgraded the secondary talent and kept Guidry I think we would have seen a significant improvement. That is not to say Guidry is definitely the guy. That is more to say the results on the field have more to do with talent than with coaching. Kinchens praised Guidry multiple times and he ate in Guidry’s defense. You have to have the talent to play not just the coaching. Jeramiah Smith at Ohio State is a perfect example of this. 99% of true freshman you don’t want on the field because they aren’t quite good enough for college play yet but if you have the talent you can thrive. That is not coaching he was great before he ever got to Ohio State it didn’t matter where he played he was going to be that guy.
I heard for the first time about Carson Beck being a possibility for us the day after the SEC title game. I’m happy with Beck…everyone says “he ain’t Cam Ward”. Sad thing for us…Cam Ward wasn’t an option for us in 2025. You have to compare Carson Beck with Emory Williams…that was our options.
Jon question 🙋,if Beck is Completely Healthy in 2025 & Mario pairs him With a True # 1 Receiver in the Spring Portal. I’m Looking for Beck to be Closer to ‘23 Version of Beck than ‘24. Why? Elijah Lofton + + (#2 Wr)Jo-Jo+ Portal #1Wr= Better Weapons than Georgia 24? Do you Agree
Congratulations to you and your school. Carson Beck has now become the con man of college football! He has taken 2 colleges for close to 10 million dollars! Never won a national championship, led the sec in interceptions, no wonder he didn't go to the NFL!
How is Mario a hard nose disciplinarian? Blown assignments, penalties etc. I haven't seen him get after one player since he's been here. Jacolby George is a perfect example. Being hard-nosed in a press conference with a mean face doesn't count, sorry.
Jon, you continue to put out great content. Great job.
I think our defense are going to be flying around big time .

True ‘ I watched a few Minnesota games and their defense was destructive .
I like the persona the new DC exudes!! I like our chances!!
🙌🙌🙌🙌
Play fast, physical, able to adapt are great points coach made in his presser.
Cafesito and Canes... "The Accountant" version!
Agree… Time will tell on D Coordinator
Whats up Jon ‘ lets do this young man.
Emory for QB 1! We can't have a QB who leases a Lamborghini...nothing upstairs.

We did not have the depth in the back end of the D, we could not sit the guys who did not play up to par.
Jon
Corey Heatherman is 44 & Turns 45 in Nov.
& Looks 👀 Like a Viking Warlord.
Malaki Tony is going to be a headache, the young recievers are going come in hungry to prove they are for real.
We need 2017 defense

100% agree. He didn’t have the weapons last year

Yeah I kept waiting to see the Mario that tore that wide receiver's ass up in Oregon for spinning the ball.
Y’all don’t remember him going off on Kam after his interception?!
FYI- YOU ARE DESCRIBING THE UNCONQUERED NOLES 2013 CHAMPIONSHIP TEAM, BEST OFFENSE AND DEFENSE IN COUNTRY🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
