As an owner of the Galaxy S22 Ultra, I'm impressed, but most of all since I like to take wildlife pictures, the zoom is amazing. Even if their's something I have a hard time seeing because its so tiny or far away, the S22 Ultra gives it clarity. Love it!
The iPhone is only cheaper in the US....otherwise there's a price hike of 30% for the rest of the world although the US gets great deals from Samsung as well. That's how Apple keeps the iPhone cheaper, by making someone else pay for it. Apart from that detail your comparison is the best I have seen.....you always remain fair and unbiased. Great video.
Well the the dollar is very strong right now against other currency euro for example drop well above 20% in the past year. Also prices in the US does not include tax where as I I purchase it in Asia the price includes the tariffs/vat already into the price.
Here in Portugal, the Iphone 14 pro max is about 200 dollars more when compare to the Samsung Galaxy s22 Ultra. The Samsung is on sale a lot of times too. I have both but i prefer the Samsung because is more versatile. Thank you and keep up the amazing work that you do.

Great video! I'm keeping my Note20 Ultra until it explodes (and who knows with the battery). The lack of SD card is a really bummer for the S22 and beyond, and something will keep me from upgrading. I never liked the ios system. All the bells are silly to me, although I am responding to this video on my phone, I primarily use the phone as a phone, texts and emails, and considering I was moving from Blackberry, I still don't see the need for half of these features. But I do need your content! Thanks again!
I have the S21 Ultra 512gb unlocked on Verizon and an iPhone 14 pro max and I love my s21 ultra but I use the iPhone for pictures and video it's just more smooth but in the end I like the S21 Ultra freedom to do stuff but there both great phones I passed on the s22 ultra not big enough difference. But I'll probably get the s23 ultra.
I can't deal with IOS and its limitations. Can't go wrong with either, but I"ll keep the S22U. It's such a nice phone and the pic's and videos are amazing, plus, I can customize it the way I want.
The only thing keeping me from upgrading to the s22 ultra from the note 20 ultra believe it or not are the speakers.... as a media consumer I can't believe the speakers on the 2 year old note are better than the s22, also hdr content runs better on the note lol
To me the dynamic island is like putting cologne on and not taking a shower because you're running late. We were supposed to be moving in the direction of no notches. Don't make it somewhat useful make it smaller. I respect apple and what it's done in the past but I kind of don't get the dynamic island. From what I've seen in dynamic island Samsung has the same like features without a big ugly cutout.
Apple just isn’t willing to put technology in there products that are not perfected and sorry to say but under display cameras are not there yet they look awful and not to mention the picture and video quality is horrible so I would rather wait to get an all display phone until it’s actually a viable option and stick with a notch that you interact with through software
@@machaon5 I would rather not have a large cut out in my screen, no matter what it does, it's intrusive when watching content. I like that Samsung keeps it in the notification shade, giving me an option.

Seriously. It's literally right in the way when watching videos horizontally full screen. At least with the notch it was on the edge of the screen, now it's just obnoxiously in the way
I have Verizon service and I just got my s22 ultra yesterday I love everything about it it's a great phone my phone was early upgrade trade in from the iPhone 13 Pro max, what I love is the stylus pen 🖊️ that's an A+ hope everybdy else enjoys theirs as well. There are some good iphone features which were left out and more about down features mentioned. More or all features mentioned on the s22ultra but iphone wasn't really appreciated. We can all tell the iphone camera was better according to the photos you showed but that was left out and you can't keep away the fact that it is cheaper, why didn't you mention that?? It is beating Samsung in many aspects and yet is cheaper so put that in there. Iphone has a better user experience for me, it's like a Rolls-Royce and a Tesla, the Samsung is a Tesla and the Rolls-Royce is the iphone, Tesla is fun but Rolls-Royce has more professionalism to it and feels more like something kids can't understand it's value or be able to use.

i think that the S22u is a better value due to most of its highlighted features can be used without buying or requiring another same phone to use. examples: imessage airdrop facetime its version of face emojis
Screen design, Pen support, resolution/ power modes,dex/smartview, telephoto lens, software freedom/ launchers-apps- lockscreen-aod-etc, and better gaming options- emulators- Gamepass-stadia-etc and many more additions, there's a huge lead on the android side, not disagreeing with you just my perspective, there's many other things I could point out but those are the most glaring to me and things iphone as a device that shares comparable pricing should not be lacking, the tiny difference in video in auto is negated in pro and Also the several modes and extra features available in the camera, i don't wanna hear about an animation or it being more smooth or video game results cause like the camera the difference is not significant like the points i mentioned where apple is absent, we gotta stop anointing apple for just meeting the standard, Samsung is and has been exceeding it for a while now technically speaking. I hate to see these reviewers and people justify stagnation on other channels.
These phones literally come down to what pics/vids you like better. I prefer the slightly saturated colors that Samsung has. They were too true to color the last couple of years and I'd have to boost the colors in the editor.
Photos need editing anyway even on iPhone it don't matter what phone you use because you need to use photo enhance editor to get the pictures better Anyway
Long term S gang user here, being a fan of the S series and not so much of the note series and being a current s21 ultra user 16 GB ram version I'm not really excited about the s22 ultra. Noting it having almost the same specs as the s21 ultra I prefer the S curves and edges vs the s22's square edges and s pen more like the note then the S series. With that being said the last time Ive had an Iphone was when it first came out ever lol. Im thinking of making the switch to the 14 pro max from my s21 ultra for what ever reason the phone looks super nice compared to the s22 ultra and I feel like it's how BMW give there specs on paper lol even tho the s22 ultra and even the s21 ultra has better numbers on paper how the iPhone ecosystem performs seems super crisp and smooth
Iphone are better in quality for sure. The build quality. Better speakers and sound. Faster cpu and gpu by a big margin. Also likely better camera recording. Rich folks always use iPhones because it’s far more polished

If you want torrents I use a laptop and then transfer the movies on my phone. Never would I use my phones directly for that. That’s how things mess up.

I tried a igpone for a month when the 13 came out. I couldn't do it. I didn't like it at all. Yes it was a nice phone, seamed sturdy and well built..so do samsungs. But it felt like it was made for people who didn't understand tech..seamed like a dumbed down samsung for old people or something lol. Went back to samsung after a month

S22Ultra is now cheaper in USA. I don't know about other markets, but I have read they are also cheaper, especially with Apple charging insane money in countries like Australia and India. Also, in the USA we no longer have physical SIM in the new iPhones. I am a geek and I think both systems work great; but as a geek, I prefer the S22 Ultra since it doesn't limit what I can do with it. I now have the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and it only loses in the camera department imo, it is even faster than the S22 Ultra, so Apple can continue to make mobile chipsets that can deform the space-time continuity that if they cannot allow to use their full potential, they are nothing I care about.
I honestly love the 10x zoom on the S22 Ultra you won't believe what it does to sunsets and its perfect for taking pictures of your kids playing or animals that would otherwise be impossible

Fantastic video. I'm so glad that you made the point that Samsung is dropping some of the features that made consumers like myself choose the Samsung phones over the Apple phones. If they continue to disappoint the consumers the question becomes why stay with the android operating system. Samsung has given no reason for removing SD card support. Yet their phone is able to shoot 8K video. Why not give me the option to remove a SD card and replace it with another to keep shooting 8K video? Like in the movie Horton Hears A Who. Samsung is following Apple's strategy. Have you seen how much they charge for storage per unit? Allowing an SD card doesn't give them the opportunity to put you in a corner over storage. I also believe that with all of the other areas where they want to stay competitive, they opt to discard an SD slot to allow more space for cameras and other hardware. Thats also the primary reason they all have removed the headphone jack... but again even the headphone jack, no matter how outdated, gives both brands the room to charge you $250 for ear-buds. Give it up....the SD card is NEVER coming back and that's a good thing. Apple have NEVER used SD cards. Two things that are NOT coming back to phones (in the USA) and that is the headphone jack...just give it up and the SD card. So don't slam they because of it. Grow with the change. SD cards and headphone jacks on smartphones is NOT the future.
It's easy. If you want freedom of ecosystem then go with Android/Samsung. If you want long battery life/faster software update will costly upstart then go iPhone.

In that case guess what they're both very good they both do basically the same thing You open an app you use it you close enough then you stop using it You take a photo it takes a good picture both can do that. If you invested in Samsung's ecosystem get a Samsung phone, if you invested in the Apple ecosystem get an apple. It's pretty simple. If you can't afford either one of those there are many options in Android You can buy a really good inexpensive Android phone and get a very good user experience. It's that simple people. My choice is Samsung I like the phone it does the job and I move on I used to have an LG they were a good phones also had HTC when back in the day when they had the incredible. My first phone Motorola Droid the original one. I liked it but then HTC caught my eye and I stuck with them until I had an iPhone 4s It was so tiny I can fit him in my pocket. And then I got my hands on the Samsung S5 and I never look back. Now I have the Samsung s 22 ultra love everything about it. My sister on the other hand loves her iPhone 13 and I think that's wonderful we have no arguments about it we just move on and enjoy our phones together. Just my two cents: I have no use for the pen. The battery seems to drain faster than iphone. Don’t care for customization. Been with android for years and I’m just not impressed anymore. They talk so much shite on Apple and later follow suit whilst eating their words followed by deleting comments. (Headphone jack, no accessories) What a joke! I love my 14 PM. Amazing pictures, sound quality is crisp and the battery easily lasts all day and then some. It’s 2am and battery is only at 60%. That’s heavy use with music, blu tooth, social media, watching videos and playing a game. My iPhone has gotten warm, but never hot unlike my N10+. Best decision I made. Traded in for $800 as a down payment. I’ll say this, the amount of accessories for the iPhone is incredible!

I was a long time Samsung user for many many years. I converted to Iphone with the 12 pro max 2 years ago. My family has all iphone's and my oldest child went to college and I needed a iphone to track her and make sure she was fine. I upgraded to the 14 pro max and I really miss all the features Samsung has to offer. Great comparison video as usual. keep up the great work.
At this point I think it's about personal preference and whether you use the features or not. I have been using Samsung for 10 years now and swapped 6-7 flagships and while they all were pretty great phones almost all of them had some issues. Battery life on the S22U is pretty mediocre even after following debloating, battery and all kinds of guides. That said I could never switch to iOS simply cuz of the limitations they have and even for things that don't really make sense.

I have Verizon service and I just got my s22 ultra yesterday I love everything about it it's a great phone my phone was early upgrade trade in from the iPhone 13 Pro max, what I love is the stylus pen 🖊️ that's an A+ hope everybdy else enjoys theirs as well. I love the customization and multitasking that it has to offer,
There are some good iphone features which were left out and more about down features mentioned. More or all features mentioned on the s22ultra but iphone wasn't really appreciated. We can all tell the iphone camera was better according to the photos you showed but that was left out and you can't keep away the fact that it is cheaper, why didn't you mention that?? It is beating Samsung in many aspects and yet is cheaper so put that in there. Iphone has a better user experience for me, it's like a Rolls-Royce and a Tesla, the Samsung is a Tesla and the Rolls-Royce is the iphone, Tesla is fun but Rolls-Royce has more professionalism to it and feels more like something kids can't understand it's value or be able to use.

i think that the S22u is a better value due to most of its highlighted features can be used without buying or requiring another same phone to use. examples:

its version of face emojis
Screen design, Pen support, resolution/ power modes,dex/smartview, telephoto lens, software freedom/ launchers-apps- lockscreen-aod-etc, and better gaming options- emulators- Gamepass-stadia-etc and many more additions, there's a huge lead on the android side, not disagreeing with you just my perspective, there's many other things I could point out but those are the most glaring to me and things iphone as a device that shares comparable pricing should not be lacking, the tiny difference in video in auto is negated in pro and Also the several modes and extra features available in the camera, i don't wanna hear about an animation or it being more smooth or video game results cause like the camera the difference is not significant like the points i mentioned where apple is absent, we gotta stop anointing apple for just meeting the standard, Samsung is and has been exceeding it for a while now technically speaking. I hate to see these reviewers and people justify stagnation on other channels.

In Romania, the s22u is about $600 cheaper than the iPhone 14 pro max. Both 128 gb.
These phones literally come down to what pics/vids you like better. I prefer the slightly saturated colors that Samsung has. They were too true to color the last couple of years and I'd have to boost the colors in the editor.
Photos need editing anyway even on iPhone it don't matter what phone you use because you need to use photo enhance editor to get the pictures better Anyway

Long term S gang user here, being a fan of the S series and not so much of the note series and being a current s21 ultra user 16 GB ram version I'm not really excited about the s22 ultra. Noting it having almost the same specs as the s21 ultra I prefer the S curves and edges vs the s22's square edges and s pen more like the note then the S series. With that being said the last time Ive had an Iphone was when it first came out ever lol. Im thinking of making the switch to the 14 pro max from my s21 ultra for what ever reason the phone looks super nice compared to the s22 ultra and I feel like it's how BMW give there specs on paper lol even tho the s22 ultra and even the s21 ultra has better numbers on paper how the iPhone ecosystem performs seems super crisp and smooth
Iphone are better in quality for sure. The build quality. Better speakers and sound. Faster cpu and gpu by a big margin. Also likely better camera recording. Rich folks always use iPhones because it’s far more polished

If you want torrents I use a laptop and then transfer the movies on my phone. Never would I use my phones directly for that. That’s how things mess up.

However samsung charges a ridiculous amount for these phones and I'm not sure if I should upgrade to the s23 or try out the iPhone for the firdt time. I tried a igpone for a month when the 13 came out. I couldn't do it. I didn't like it at all. Yes it was a nice phone, seamed sturdy and well built..so do samsungs. S22Ultra is now cheaper in USA. I don't know about other markets, but I have read they are also cheaper, especially with Apple charging insane money in countries like Australia and India.
Also, in the USA we no longer have physical SIM in the new iPhones.
I am a geek and I think both systems work great; but as a geek, I prefer the S22 Ultra since it doesn't limit what I can do with it. I now have the Galaxy Z Fold 4 and it only loses in the camera department imo, it is even faster than the S22 Ultra, so Apple can continue to make mobile chipsets that can deform the space-time continuity that if they cannot allow to use their full potential, they are nothing I care about.
I honestly love the 10x zoom on the S22 Ultra you won't believe what it does to sunsets and its perfect for taking pictures of your kids playing or animals that would otherwise be impossible

Fantastic video. I'm so glad that you made the point that Samsung is dropping some of the features that made consumers like myself choose the Samsung phones over the Apple phones. If they continue to disappoint the consumers the question becomes why stay with the android operating system. Samsung has given no reason for removing SD card support. Yet their phone is able to shoot 8K video. Why not give me the option to remove a SD card and replace it with another to keep shooting 8K video?

Samsung is following Apple's strategy. Have you seen how much they charge for storage per unit? Allowing an SD card doesn't give them the opportunity to put you in a corner over storage. I also believe that with all of the other areas where they want to stay competitive, they opt to discard an SD slot to allow more space for cameras and other hardware. Thats also the primary reason they all have removed the headphone jack... but again even the headphone jack, no matter how outdated, gives both brands the room to charge you $250 for ear-buds. Capitalism
Give it up....the SD card is NEVER coming back and that's a good thing. Apple have NEVER used SD cards. Two things that are NOT coming back to phones (in the USA) and that is the headphone jack...just give it up and the SD card. So don't slam they because of it. Grow with the change. SD cards and headphone jacks on smartphones is NOT the future.
It's easy. If you want freedom of ecosystem then go with Android/Samsung. If you want long battery life/faster software update will costly upstart then go iPhone.

In that case guess what they're both very good they both do basically the same thing You open an app you use it you close enough then you stop using it You take a photo it takes a good picture both can do that.
If you invested in Samsung's ecosystem get a Samsung phone, if you invested in the Apple ecosystem get an apple.
It's pretty simple.
If you can't afford either one of those there are many options in Android You can buy a really good inexpensive Android phone and get a very good user experience.

My choice is Samsung I like the phone it does the job and I move on I used to have an LG they were a good phones also had HTC when back in the day when they had the incredible.
My first phone Motorola Droid the original one.
I liked it but then HTC caught my eye and I stuck with them until I had an iPhone 4s
It was so tiny I can fit him in my pocket.
And then I got my hands on the Samsung S5 and I never look back.
Now I have the Samsung s 22 ultra love everything about it.
My sister on the other hand loves her iPhone 13 and I think that's wonderful we have no arguments about it we just move on and enjoy our phones together.

I have no use for the pen.
The battery seems to drain faster than iphone.
Don’t care for customization.
Been with android for years and I’m just not impressed anymore. They talk so much shite on Apple and later follow suit whilst eating their words followed by deleting comments. (Headphone jack, no accessories) What a joke! I love my 14 PM. Amazing pictures, sound quality is crisp and the battery easily lasts all day and then some. It’s 2am and battery is only at 60%. That’s heavy use with music, blu tooth, social media, watching videos and playing a game. My iPhone has gotten warm, but never hot unlike my N10+. Best decision I made. Traded in for $800 as a down payment. I’ll say this, the amount of accessories for the iPhone is incredible!

That's well said. Android/Samsung love to poke fun at Apple but then they end up copying them. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery after all. Samsung keeps removing the features that set them apart from Apple, what's the point in remaining with them? They're trying to become Apple but nobody can do it as well as the original.

I was a long time Samsung user for many many years. I converted to Iphone with the 12 pro max 2 years ago. My family has all iphone's and my oldest child went to college and I needed a iphone to track her and make sure she was fine. I upgraded to the 14 pro max and I really miss all the features Samsung has to offer. Great comparison video as usual. keep up the great work.
At this point I think it's about personal preference and whether you use the features or not. I have been using Samsung for 10 years now and swapped 6-7 flagships and while they all were pretty great phones almost all of them had some issues. Battery life on the S22U is pretty mediocre even after following debloating, battery and all kinds of guides. That said I could never switch to iOS simply cuz of the limitations they have and even for things that don't really make sense.
