You do know that of you heal the Prism when Hessonite is near it. The Prism greatly lower Hessonite's defense.

It makes sense because you usually want to use master spark right before getting hit to escape a tough attack and I'd say the light warrior did a pretty good job getting out of Peridot's attack with it.
