    This really works. My husband spiled a LOT of grease carrying in supper from the bbq on a pliable cooking sheet. I followed these instructions exactly to get one day old grease stains off my paving stones by leaving the well scrubbed in mixture on overnight and washing off with the hose (used jet stream setting on nozzle) this morning. I am very impressed! Bonus is the patio smells so fresh from all the Tide!

    Thanks! That grill mat is a great investment. Since its light, someone could easily sew in weights on the corners of it so it doesn't get moved. I was taking out the trash one day. I dropped the bag and it tipped over on the patio. The cooking grease poured out. Now I've got a lot of scrubbing to do. 😁

      Amy GÜRKAN Oh My! Another thing if is fresh, get a small bag of oil dry. Pour the oil dry on the grease or oil. Take your foot out pressure on the oil dry and turn your foot or twist your foot on the oil dry, it should Pulverize the oil dry and absorb the oil.

    This does work even with oil strains and trans oil! My grandpa taught me this when I bought my first house and always worked on cars in my garage this stuff works wonders

    I have a painted concrete patio and its easy to quickly make a mess when cooking on the BBQ. I decided it was cheaper and a lot less work to buy 4-foot by 8-foot truck bed mats than paint every year. The rubber mat I bought was about 3/8-inch thick, so the wind won't blow it up. It costs slightly more than the dedicated BBQ mats, but it was much larger. I have a Weber grill, a Camp Chef smoker and a Camp Chef camping stove I use all the time, so I needed two mats. I bought two Dee Zee mats from Blain's Farm & Fleet for $130, no sales tax and free shipping. These mats will last forever.

    I used Dawn and baking soda. Put it right on the stain and scrubbed it in. Then I washed it away with hot water.

      Did you need to let it sit overnight?

    I used a leftover piece of indoor/outdoor carpeting from local big box hardware store. You can have it cut to the size you want and it's cheaper.

    • @RichRodgersOnline
      @RichRodgersOnline  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      A Service Station Attendant told me Tide is what they use. You may want to go to a auto and get Oil Dry. It sort of looks like Cat litter... Some cat litter works as well.

    High-level, this is biological laundry soap with grease eating enzymes, and an oxygen releasing alkaline powder. Super

    Does it have to be Tide or can you use any laundry detergent?

    • @RichRodgersOnline
      @RichRodgersOnline  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Jessica. Thank you for watching. You might try another detergent, Back in the 80's a guy working in a garage told me they used Tide. But you can always try it with something else.

    Maybe glue washers on the corners underneath the mat.

      Thinking the same..ever find out? As we have a lush new patio with bloody chicken fat on it.
      I am thinking Vanish (Tide) and Cilit Bang (Oxy spray)

    No you have just used a load of nasty products and effort but you will not suceed unless you have specialist oil repellant outdoor surfaces.

    • @RichRodgersOnline
      @RichRodgersOnline  4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Hi Jose, thanks for watching, I have to tell a lot on videos if I don't more people will ask a lot of questions. By talking a lot it helps some people to understand better the procedure.
