I lived in NM for 5 years served in the AF at Kirkland Air Force Base in Albuquerque. Its a magical place. Unfortunately, never had the opportunity to kill an Elk. Awesome hunt.
@@stephenmanukas7601 I must of missed bowhunting 101. Thankful you were here to help me out. ;) I guess a million people who shoot Carbon Express Maxima Reds must of missed the class too. Lol. As far as red fletching, I use 2 red and one white and seems to work extremely well. Never once in the 100's of animals that I've shot with my bow did I once think, "Man, if I didn't have these red arrows it would be easier to see the blood on my arrow." 😂
Congrats Jason. Always been on my bucket list to go on 1 elk hunt.
@@stevenmiller7964 Thanks man!! Go before you get to old. Good luck this hunting season.

Congratulations on that beautiful bull elk.
We had a 25 min hunt last week. Walked 1/2 mile behind camp and bugled a bull in to 18 yrds .
@@Nwhunter congrats!!
Nice Job !!!
I'm in NW PA. Take me with you next year!
It is redemption season. I am going back to the same spot as last year and I hope to get the bull I missed last year. in Cloudcroft, NM

Like a cross between black Angus and whitetail if that helps ....in my opinion
How much is petrol in America ? Per litre or gallon will do
3.00-3.25 per gallon lately
I would presume your hunt is 5 or so days , I dont understand why you'd shoot the first Bull that walks past you , but anyway good shot , nice Bull

ohio is the worst for po-po!
Yes we are. Most highways at 65-70. They will give you 5-8 sometimes 10 over. Any faster than that and you deserve a ticket. Slow down
Why use red arrows and red fletching? When arrow/blood sign is so important, you need to use white wraps with all white vanes. No red. Bowhunting 101.

I used camo arrows with 2 blue and 1 white.
I use black carbon arrows with green and white fletching.
If you’re a good shot it shouldn’t matter…
