Great stuff! I'm at 8.5 years of Stage 4 Prostate cancer. It has metastasized (spread) to much of my bone structure... Spine from skull to tailbone, sternum (center of chest between the ribs), a couple of ribs on the left side, pelvis and tops of thigh bones in the hip joint area, as well as a 4" long tumor in the bone of my right arm above the elbow. Plus in many lymph nodes in my belly, and in the left ureter (hose that connects the kidney to the bladder), and in the bladder itself. I'm in the middle of another round of chemo. This medicine I'm allergic to. So it tries to kill me as they inject it IV. What they use to counter that makes me VERY intoxicated. So my model car buddy Charlie drives me home. Punk won't let me pay for gas or food either. I DID buy him a Mooneyes rail, a Flintstone Bantam Coupe body and a pair of Bantam Blast kits (1 for the Coupe). He's been involved in drag racing since the late 1960s. Has a 1950 Ford Coupe gasser and several Harleys including a dry lakes bike. So he likes old school drag stuff. My cancer and the meds for it make me shaky. Real shake at times. Probably not like Parkinson's. But too shaky for models then. Messes with sleep schedule. My 69 year old eyes ain't what they used to was either. But I'm not giving up. In 22 I was going down. Couldn't eat much at all. Lost 35lbs in 21 days. Didn't expect to see Christmas. But after almost 4 months of screwing around, my medical insurance finally decided to approve treatment and they pulled me back from the edge. But this year I'm trending down again. When I'm in the mood, I work on models. This year I'm building 11 Altered models at the same time. Not serious detail like your Bug, though I would love to. I've told about this on another YT video or 2, but for your amusement, here's the list: - Yellow Fever Revell/Atlantis Fiat - Double Dragster Fiat AMT The 2 above are getting roll cages from the back of the frame from Mooneyes rails. - 25 T Coupe chopped Scratch built dragster style cage - 29 Ford roaster Pickup body on scratch built 2-rail frame with Revell Parts Pack 23T kit cut down pickup bed. - Revell Parts pack Fiat body on a Bantam Blast chassis - 23T Roadster Revell Parts pack body on a Tubular Roadster frame - 25 T Roadster AMT Parts pack body on an AMT Competition Parts pack tubular frame - Bantam Blast Hmmm... what are the orhers? - 25 T RoadsteR AMT on kit hotrod chassis - Fiat resin body on scratchbuilt spacecraft - Orange Crate I think that's 11. Not making rapid progress on any 1 of them. But they're all coming along. No deadlines. Just work on them when I'm feelin' it.
