2020 MCLAREN 600LT SPIDER REVIEW - EXTERIOR, INTERIOR AND TEST DRIVE

- The McLaren 600LT Spider was introduced in 2020 and built for one model year. McLaren never stated how many they made. I believe there is data out there suggesting there are 345 in the U.S.
The LT stands for long tail and part of McLaren’s racing heritage. This car is slightly longer, I believe 74mm, than the 570S it is based off.The 600LT is powered by a 3.8 liter twin turbo V8 found in many of the McLaren cars.
This engine puts out 592hp at 7,500 rpm and 457 lb. ft. of torque from 5,500 to 6,500rpm. And, has a decent redline at 8,500 rpm.The 600LT has a 19-gallon fuel tank.
For comparison the RS had the 23.7-gallon extended tank.The starting price of a 2020 600LT Spider was $256,500. But could easily be spec’d to over $300,000.The 600LT will do 0-60in 2.8seconds and has a top speed of 201mph.
The 600LT has a carbon fiber chassis and with liquids and fuel weighs in at 3,095 lbs. or 1,404 kilogram.

@@RSXperience Yes, a Carrara white GT4. It is there for PPF and ceramic coating. I live just outside Columbus and have been a customer for many years.

I don't think anybody's laughing at you Andy over the ebrake thing. Now when I hear a early 20's person asking what the heck a bumper jack in the trunk was...... that I laughed at. Old farts unite! My wife about put my head through the windshield multiple times on the M2CS test drive. All fun and games til you look at the fact I haven't worked in over 4 years due to severe back and neck problems. " Thanks Honey!" Did you ever get the exhaust buzzing figured out from the 1'st video or is it just like that? Nice car Andy. Enjoy it to the fullest! Go tear up some mountain roads.
Thanks for watching Mike. I hadn’t articulated the hand brake thing that well. Meant to say you had the manual foot emergency brake where the dead pedal is today. To release you has to pull back on a lever.
Sorry to hear about your neck and back problems. I’ve had some issues over the years and certainly no fun. Thanks for confirming a similar issue with M2CS brakes.
The ticking noise from the exhaust was the rear screen and it just needed to be adjusted. All good now. More videos to come as I spend more time with the car.
I'd love to hear what the LT does better and what the RS does better
