We visited Bomas of Kenya that was started in 1971 after Kenya gained independence in 1963. It was established to preserve, showcase and promote the rich and diverse cultures of various ethnic groups of Kenya and to act as a tourist attraction center. As the only national body with a mandate in cultural tourism, the institution is expected to preserve the authenticity of Kenya’s cultures and to portray them in their pure form.

Micco, I enjoyed this vlog, well preserved bomas❤ back in the days, they used to have people dress up traditionally for each Boma, cook the traditional foods of each tribe and display their cutlery, the granaries had grains and the cattle shed, goats. It used to be a wonderful learning experience for scholars and tourists. They should restore this👍
