What a terrible meta... The last game was painful to watch. People keeping the board empty because they want to push their singeplayer plan... This is not the Hearthstone i fell in love with and played for years and years.

This not like the first time combo decks dominated the meta. Quest rogue and all the versions of freeze mage/ otk mage were as dominant and if not more cancer than this meta.
At least every class other than warrior have a decent deck

@@emreiren6746 Yeah It was so annoying watching Gaby bob his head around like some autistic child, was really rooting for xblyzes to shut him up

@@Kumo_tk i have seen both meta's. Quest Rogue was just broken, they nerfed the Quest 3(!) Times i think. Freeze was pretty skill based and it did only control the meta at higher ranks. A few other combo decks have been pretty strong aswell. Shrivalla Paladin, anyfin Paladin, a few Malygos decks etc. I don't mind combo decks at all. The problem with this meta is that there is no interaction. Minions don't often trade and the game these days is focussing on your own trick despite what happends at the other end of the board.

@Marc D is that necessarily bad though? I for one love it when there are such counterintuitive plays to be made, I find it very refreshing (and it's nothing new: back in the days, in odd warrior mirrors, good old skilled control vs control matchups where allegedly "every decision mattered" (like the decision of drawing doctor boom first, I guess), you'd occasionally blow up your own minions in order to clog your opponent's hand with useless removal and shut down their value generation). Also, I think people in hearthstone overstate the skill level of trading and board interaction by A LOT, when 95 % of the time it's just basic counting that everyone's done a million times. Let's be honest, how many of us would have thought of blowing up our own minion even though our opponent's remained on the board in order to play around specifically flurry? Doesn't that require more skill than shooting a drain soul to a kol'kar pack runner?
