Luckily when you have that much understeer it doesn't require any decision making skills. Just turn and wait.
I’ve had understeer at almost completely straight
Cold tires + hard tire compound are rough out there
Go karts have a very high % of rear weight so they push a lot when it’s wet and on cold tyres
Thee hairpin in the middle iss awful. Spin out alot when wet
Speaking of daydreaming, I got so lost in this video that I look at the sky and gasped "those clouds look so real"....

Let's add speed for next video. It would be cool to see even a small speed gadget in the left corner. You have to set GPS on in your settings and then add gadgets with gopro quik program. Best wishes

GPS doesn't work on my camera. Tried everything to get it working but it simply doesn't.
@@Super_GT I have hero 5 black and it has to work about 5 minutes to catch the gps signal and the gps icon lights up. It doesn't work inside, but it should work on most of the tracks you've been and shared :)
@@MeskaRacing I have the 7 and it is known for having issues with the GPS. When it does connect, the data is completely wrong. I do have a 5 as well but it doesn't have the hypersmooth so I don't want to use that.

I race here in senior rotax in their local club. It’s the hardest track I’ve ever driven. No rest and very difficult corners to get right. Getting the exit perfect is the only way to win

I was just looking for kart tracks near where I live and knew I recognised this track from somewhere and now im definitely going now
ahhhh Red Lodge...last time I raced there, some guy got insanely angry at me after a race, ran over, pushed me, then swung his helmet at my head...ducked it and accidentally knocked him out due to reflexes, lmao. Reason he was angry? I "bumped" him to overtake him on the long sweeping left. Did I bump? No. Stuck right side and went around the outside with no contact, and got the pass on the tight right, he was slow due to bad line. Wonderful memories.

Been watching you karting videos for the past four hours for some reason...... it’s 3 am, 10/10 entertained
That final left hand turn is the best. Was racing 2 friends and they Hadd slower entry then me aand hugged inside corner. I just went flat out squeezing myself on the outside. Was best overtake I ever done.

That's cool, there is another circuit literally 100 yards from this one at Wild Tracks I was at a few weeks ago, I will definitely be going to this one for a session

Bruh when you cut them corners I feel like you're taking them too fast and you're about to spin out. Man respect for all race cat drivers I always had a notion of it being a sport that involved the car doing all the work but there's more to it. It's a team, awareness and reaction sport which produces high levels of stress.

U should record the radio then use the same graphic that f1 does
Why you were understeering a lot at 0:50 is also because that kart has brand new tyres and there is a slick layer on them so they stay in shape before using them and that layer is very slippery that layer will go off in 1 lap.
Nah the tyres were cold and the track was still wet.

I used to kart at Red lodge in club 2000 - from 2012 to 2019, good times good track but hard to overtake.
Not surprised the kart has a slow bottom end after you've been fiddling with the carburetor mixture when driving the cold kart onto the track

Tough question. Perhaps never C100 as I could venture and try other series. GT is pivotal to the channel so can't really afford to stop!

Amazing racing. Wish I was as consistent and adept with passing. Not sure if this has been fixed, but at the end of the video the voice over is commentating on this that happened 30sec before in the video. I think they have been edited into the wrong spot
If you want to talk about the Monaco of Karting on the east coast of the States we have Autobahn. Look up Autobahn karting track map on google and you will see what I am talking about.

The place it seems you're losing time is when you kind of jerk the steering wheel and the kart slides, I'm not an expert but I've definitely found a lot of time myself by just being really smooth but well done and you should be happy 👍

Ok, here's a good question:
Usually in other motorsports such as F1, you never see drivers doing the sort-of-drift thing you do in karts. How does that speed you up?
Noah Maskrey no expert but i think it has something to do with how the kart carries speed through corners and more so its ability to accelerate out of the corner. I’m pretty sure the karts don’t accelerate very well, therefor the drivers want to try to avoid slowing down to much as this will effect lap time, by sliding they can carry more speed and obviously exit the corner faster. If we are comparing to f1 then obviously the f1 cars can accelerate pretty fuckin quick so they can take a more brake late, stop car, rotate car, shoot car out of corner, sort of a line. Another thing too consider is tyres, in the karts the tyres are basically indestructible, the tyre wear is next to none in a race like this one, so when the driver is sliding his way around a corner they don’t have to worry about wearing the tyre. On the other hand the f1 teams have a pretty big emphasis on conserving the tyre, they have a much higher performance tyre therefor it is softer and will wear significantly more than a kart tyre, on these f1 tyres sliding will most certainly destroy the tyre at a rapid rate and that is obviously not good. All in all i would say that the difference in performance between f1 and kart is the reason for the differing driving styles. Anyway like I said I’m not an expert, as a 15 year old I’m far from it! And so if anyone has more to add or thinks I’m completely wrong than i would very much like to know. Thanks, hope this helps
You don't want to drift, it slows you down. Unless of course you want to slow down fast. But with a solid rear axle (no differential) you often don't have a choice.
wingracer 16 ahh yes this point about the solid axel is a very valid one. But i would still say that what they are doing is not exactly drifting, more power sliding, and a power slide is not necessarily going to slow you down. A power slide can and is being used to go faster in the karts and there are multiple examples of that in this video.

I have watched several of you Kart racing video's and you do an excellent job of racing and explaining what you are doing. Do you rent your Karts? or do you own them? It looks like they are all the same.
Went there today two 15 minute sessions,first ever time in a kart or on a track,it was quite and not much but for my first stint I did a 1.17 and my second I did a 1.02 is that any good?

Do you think the Rotax engines vary more in performance compared to the TKMs? Never really had a problem with bad karts in the TKMs but I seem to getting bad karts every other round! Started behind you in this race
@McLarenBMW TKM they used up until last year was supposed to be around 18hp, the new Rotax 20hp.
