What a beautiful tribute by Larry David to Richard Lewis. It's moments like these that remind us of the incredible bonds formed through laughter and shared experiences. Their friendship, highlighted in such a heartfelt manner, truly showcases the depth of connection that can exist between people who've shared so much of their lives, both personally and professionally. It's a testament to the impact that kindness, humor, and companionship have on our lives. Let's cherish and celebrate the memories and moments that bring us closer to those around us.
Today I found out about Richard. I was just speechless. I was without speech. Richard Lewis ladies and gentlemen. A member of the iron curtain of comedy. My thoughts are with you Richie. I hope to meet you someday along with Larry in an afterlife for some golf in Heaven. I remember him in Men In Tights as the laidback king. Nothing but love from Bucharest Romania.
Richard once told a joke that I will always remember about his "Jewish'' mother , he said '" My mother is so Jewish that she has a satellite dish that picks up other peoples problems" . I laughed so hard I think I peed myself because my Jewish mom was just like his . I always watched him when he was on since I first saw him on Letterman back in the early 80s . Love you Richard
What a comedy legend and I truly nice guy. I met him on a plane in the late eighties when I was 19. We held hands and shared a cab. Great and funny gem of a guy!!!
R.I.P Richard Lewis, he was absolutely hilarious in Curb and I was shocked and surprised to see him in the opening scene of Leaving Las Vegas which I saw for the first time recently. Again, R.I.P to a comedy legend 🙏🏽
His delivery on screen and as a comic are one of a kind along with the hand gestures..anytime I think of him in curb is "did you stick a gerbal up your azz"
A family friend arranged for Richard to perform at SIU Carbondale in the late 80's. He allowed my friend and I, a couple of 12 year old kids to ride in the limo with him from the hotel to the venue. Richard was very nice to us and signed autographs. Good dude.
maybe its just as well that this is the last season of Curb because with no Richard Lewis nor Marty Funkhouser it would never be the same. Love both characters.
What a sweet, beautiful man he seemed to be. I hate that this happened. You can really feel the genuine love and cherished memories coming from those who knew him. My heart goes out to his loved ones, and all of us fans who will love and miss him forever.
It would be a Great Kind of Kindness to Richard Lewis if Larry David and some of His other wealthy Friends Helped Lewis’s Widow with the $1M Mortgage on the Couple’s Home. I read that Lewis had recently changed the terms of his Mortgage so that instead of a Foreclosure for non-payment that his Widow would be allowed to stay in the House as a Tenant to the Lender.
Always was a huge Richard Lewis fan. However, his early morning interview w/Angelo Cataldi of Philly sports talk radio WIP...was one of the most cruel & condescending. Everyone has their bad days, I guess. My opinion of Richard totally flip-flopped after that.
seriously dude? richard always took that tone and insulted everybody in morning radio interviews. i've listened to many of them. it's not serious. he's joking.
Exactly. He was already doing Letterman in the early 80s. They also said that the Curb clip aired this past weekend, but it was 2 weekends ago. Even an intern could easily fact-check this stuff.
Thank you Richard - you made us smile and I could never quite work out between you and Larry who was the most neurotic... This last weeks episode was poignant and made me laugh and sad simultaneously. I am sad he didn't get to be on the Jeff and Sussie Podcast of Curt that they promised. Rest in Peace brother
Writers and comics keep their personal issues private? What country are you from? I ask because it's obvious that a most standard aspect of our entertainment culture, particularly comedy, is alien to you.
he rode out the show till the bitter end with his friend beautiful

Richard & Larry make me feel all the feels! What chemistry so lucky to have each other.
Met at summer camp when they were 12, despised each other, met again 10 years later as comics, became instant best friends. Legendary friendship.
Richard had an incredible wit. He was super funny and I will miss him.

Another good one is:

Will miss those fights with Larry. RIP, Lewis.

'A Premature Honey' Richard was always hilarious on Curb.
I love Richard Lewis -so funny and charismatic; the chemistry between himself and Larry was perfect. The world is worse off without Richard. Xx
Richard gone...a light went out in the world...one of a kind wonderful

Late 80's! Try the middle of the 70's when Larry had hair😂😢😢😢😢🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤
I remember Richard’s standup back in the 80’s. He was hilarious. God bless his family and loved ones, he will be missed. RIP Richard 🙏 😭 🎤 ♥️

Loved watching Richard Lewis! Sobbing from the Philippines, like Larry David… 😢
What a sweet, beautiful man he seemed to be. I hate that this happened. You can really feel the genuine love and cherished memories coming from those who knew him. My heart goes out to his loved ones, and all of us fans who will love and miss him forever.
Australia loves you, Richard! Sweet tribute by Larry 😢
*WHEN PEOPLE HAVE GOOD THINGS TO SAY ABOUT YOU. YOU'VE DONE YOUR JOB!. BLESSINGS GOOD HUMAN!. **#CLASSACT*
The scene where Richard and Larry help the blind guy move into his house. In Curb your Enthusiasm is one the funniest things i have ever watched on TV.

You forgot to show the part where Larry David is Paying Tribute to Richard Lewis.
His role on two and a half men is super relevant now. More than before. 🐍

Rest in Peace, Richard Lewis🙏
Oh, my heart is heavy.
A great life!
I liked that western movie he did starring alongside John Candy too
What a great guy
He actually started his stand-up career in the mid-70's, but hey, don't actually look up any information before doing a tribute.
Did he have kids?
Loved him
❤
I'm very sad to hear the news that I can no longer cast this guy as my wicked creeper stepdad in a movie or TV show about my life :( RIP
Comedy legend 👏🏻
I can’t imagine Larry crying
He will definitely be missed
RIP Richard, guess Larry won the die last challenge 😂😢
The Larry David quote is only 13 seconds and yet this video is 3 minutes (180 seconds) long!
Yooo why did they play the curb music after saying he died 😭 RIP
Hey Richard, from the human world, how were you really? I think he might appreciate that question.
Great comedian!
rip
Legend
at what point in this video does larry "pay tribute" to lewis? I don't consider a tweet a tribute.

Richard Lewis would say that Larry David is like an ex - lover ... :)
💔
He wasn't super funny as a comedian but his work on Curb was super funny.
As soon as he said ‘I’m under a doctors care’ …it was all over. Add to that he took the jab. This is what caused it.
The wife will keep the money
RIP
"He started as a stand up comic in the late eighties" Man, do your research!!

Is Larry in his will ?!!
Larry's still alive though
theres nothing ironic about a man talking about his will the week he passes sick of people using irony incorrectly
🙏🏻❤️🥲
He looked awfully fragile in recent Curb episodes.

I watched Curb last night. He looked pretty bad
I watched it last night with my daughter The Gettysburg Address episode and I said the same thing that he did not look good at all.
The funniest Jew he ever met. Not sure I agree.
Never found R Lewis funny ..always found him annoying ..but RIP

Why do celebrities have to publicize their illnesses and impending deaths. Sane and rational people keep these things private and personal.
Writers and comics keep their personal issues private? What country are you from? I ask because it's obvious that a most standard aspect of our entertainment culture, particularly comedy, is alien to you.
Also, this is a grieving type video for an artist that was loved. Have some respect by not intervening on what WE have a right to do.
