  • Australian actress Cate Blanchett had long wanted to make a film with her compatriot Warwick Thornton. That collaboration became the beautiful new drama The New Boy, about a native boy who is dumped in a remote monastery with a renegade nun.

    Amazing and lots or respect to Wayne Blair who's a director and it's more than significant that he's an Aboriginal director!
    It's really refreshing to see the beauty of aboriginal people and the young actor Aswan Reid, freaking adorable looking too!
    I certainly like Cate, played in a lot of interesting movies.
    It feels truly rare to see Aboriginal people, whom are Australia itself just as Native Americans, to see it's people in a movie!
    I've certainly seen some documentaries of their struggle and it's maddening and overwhelming of what they go through and not surprising for beautiful people of color and their history of Australia.
    I hope this movie forms a special relation of the nation of people and forming some symbolism! It's amazing how ostracized they are, and I've heard how horribly they are treated from those who visited Australia and made video vlogs of their experience.
    So again, seeing them in films I know it's rare and as true Australians, it's an honor! A lot of respect!

    I cannot wait to see 'The New Boy'!
    How refreshing to hear a writer state the problem with 'writing from anger...and using that anger to move through your life'. Someone please relay Warwick Thornton's message on film making to Mel Gibson. There is enough outrage in the world that blinds people to the fact that there are good people in what are perceived as 'evil institutions'.

      Evidently! If it weren't for Cate, the film directed by him would not have had the projection that started with the world premiere in Cannes. Cate is Australian and did free publicity for the film which is entirely Australian. I suppose the director will be grateful for Cate's help.

      Yeah, sure... 🤦‍♀️.
      That's why you comment on pretty much every Cate Blanchett video here on TH-cam and try to discredit the woman. Be it her looks or her character.
      That's really pathological. Just move on and live your life.
      It's really embarrassing for you.

      “I haven’t done any [plastic surgery], but who knows,” she tells Vanity Fair. “Andrew said he’d divorce me if I did anything. When you’ve had children, your body changes; there’s history to it. I like the evolution of that history; I’m fortunate to be with somebody who likes the evolution of that history. I think it’s important to not eradicate it.”

      @Marc-13 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@iShaiyaPL I know this quote, it's 10 or something years old. But people change their mind, especially when the people around her talked her into it for money reasons. Also it's possible that she again doesn't said the truth. Most actresses lie about botox and surgery and say they don't do it and nearly everybody knows that everybody does it.
      I see her mimic isn't natural, she can't frown and her nose looks completely different (shorter and slimmer).

    • @adri4ana_
      @adri4ana_ ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@Marc-13 okay i don’t know how well I don't know how much you've been dealing with her but I am sure the only reason for her to do Botox or plastic surgery is for herself and not because anyone told her to. And to be honest I always thought her nose looks really natural and not made. Also she CAN frown I don’t know where you got the information from that she couldn’t but anyways I’m my opinion there is a difference between movie, acting and actor BUT you are not forced to watch it🤷‍♀️
