I've listened to Soleil more time than I could EVER even *_HOPE_* to count because I love it just that much because it's so beautiful! *_WHY,_* though, am I only *NOW* discovering てぃあら sings as well as composes/tunes, and that she sings this and [SAYONARA]?? And she does it so BEAUTIFULLY!!😻💖It's rare to have Vocaloid song creators that can also actually SING their own songs as well as tune the different Vocaloid characters' voices to be able to sing the songs as well, and to do it so WELL, and I love her voice!😻💖 I was listening again and watching the video, and I just realized that this song, and especially てぃあら's version of it, would be *PERFECT* for a *[Kingdom Hearts]* game opening theme song! It has that beautiful epic echoing across the worlds and storylines and nostalgic/slightly sad with a bit of a desperate cry feeling that the games' stories invoke, and that the 2nd opening theme *[Sanctuary/Passion]* especially does. SQUARE ENIX should team up with てぃあら and have that officially become one of the next KH games intros, whether they have Utada Hikaru sing it, or whether てぃあら herself sings it. Actually I have a better idea: just have てぃあら and Utada Hikaru do a DUET! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME! We could even have Miku do the background vocals and harmonies and then it would become a TRIO! (I almost said _"trilogy,"_ lol😆🤦♀️) *OKAY!* We need to get SQUARE ENIX and Disney on this right away!😆😻💖

My question is about the line here, [1:27] 「一片の希望でも/ひとひらのかけらでも/Hitohira no kakera demo」 These are the lyrics on the screen 「一片の希望でも」, and this is how she sings that line 「ひとひらのかけらでも/Hitohira no kakera demo」, but by all accounts that I can find, *「希望」,* which means "Hope", should be read and pronounced as 「きぼう/Kibou」. 「かけら/KAKERA」which means "fragments" or "pieces" is usually written like 「欠片」 (like the title of the anime/otome game series 「緋色の欠片/Hiiro no Kakera」which means something like "Scarlet Fragments/Fragments of Scarlet"). Would anyone mind explaining why this is? Like, what is going on with the chorus and how it was written? Is this a case when furigana would be used? I would like to be able to understand not only so that I can sing "Soleil" but that I can truly understand what the lyrics mean. Having certain words in the lyrics be sung as other words helps say more with less and lets the lyrics be deeper, more poetic, more interesting, more expansive, etc... It's just a very common practice in songwriting.
@@raccoonchild I do know about furigana, and that makes sense when in writing, but when it's something like in a song where you won't be able to see the lyrics/words written down, you won't get that double meaning, which is why I wondered why she did that. We can see the furigana here since it's a music video, but 99% of the time, everyone is likely to just listen to the song, without reading the lyrics, so that double meaning is lost.
