Just had my baby on the 9th and let me tell you... the tiredness is 100% true. Constantly tired but so worth it. It truly does help when you have a partner that helps you out too. I'm so happy for Megan and her spykid husband! Truly sweet. ♡

Omg they are perfect for eachother I knew I recognized him he played in spy kids that was my favorite movie as a kid I can't believe how long ago that was. The way they communicate to eachother is amazing and funny I love it there so perfect for eachother. Congrats you guys made such an adorable baby.
I was told when I had my first baby at 22 to not whisper or be super quiet. I was told the baby needed to get used to sleeping with noises. They were right!!! I had friends that if they made the slightest sound their baby would wake up screaming...a problem I never had with any of my 3 daughters.
My third was raised in nothing but noise and was my best sleeper

Go easy on yourselves because you will make unintentional mistakes. Nobody can possibly do it perfectly. Glad you talk about seeing a therapist openly. I do as well and it's changed my life in so many wonderful ways. A parent group might be something to join for support. Great job you guys!
I wish I knew how many people would feel entitled to give their opinion or share their terrible experiences to “warn” you thinking they’re helping you. But seriously you get one or two people doing that a day it just makes you angry or depressed. It’s not wanted, it’s not helpful, it’s just stupid

It wasn’t that no one told me, it’s the fact no one could ever explain just how hard it is going through those first 2 weeks to 4 months. There are no words in the human dictionary that fully explains the emotional and physical hardship you’re about to go through. But they DO tell you it gets better, and it’s really because you get stronger and then it doesn’t feel so hard.
I think its different for everyone, so no one can give an accurate description of the pure exhaustion. My first slept through at 6 weeks, so I got a good night's rest also. My 4th had colic, and wouldn't sleep at night when his dad was away... Just like we cannot comprehend the joy that comes with it 😊

Oh my gosh the dark thoughts... for the first couple of months it would keep me up at night, thinking about something bad happening to my baby, or happening to his Dad and I and nobody knowing he needs help. It eventually died down for the most part but post partum.... holy hell. I cried myself to sleep most nights.

I never sat around being really quiet or whispering. Babies need to get used to sleeping in any environment. Of course, we weren't outrageously loud, just did our normal day to day thing.
