    If you watch this to learn, you may also like "Building a Summer Wigwam: Wayne Valliere Sr and Wayn Valliere Jr." (YT). They show their people's tradition of put cedar strips as end pieces for the birch panels, making it easier to handle them without damage.

    Doesn't stripping the birch bark off the tree kill it ? seems to me it would be the same as girdling the tree but I don't know.
