    Unshrouding the seat took a bit of metal out. Are you cc-ing the heads when you're done or is that extra?

    The hole gang there are great to work with. Had my EVO heads worked there shaved , ported , big valves, springs, guides, compression forgiveness buttions HA HA the works !!! I asked them to get me between 10:25 but less than 10:50 . They got me 10:34 to 1 . That with my 10:50 KB pistons and s&s 585 cam on hight test gas run strong for 80 cid. and sounds awsome through the true duel thunder header pipes !!!!!!!! Going to make video of my Road King soon and post on the tube & there web site !

    Have a set of 1976 Sportster heads I would like CNC ported to a set of cams (still making decision on which set). Can you take a set of stocker heads and do this. Thank you.

      And unless you have a LEGITIMATE beef with this mans shop, why would you comment like that, you're not proving anything but that you're disrespectful.

    I run a serdi 3.0 everyday if the valve job is done right there is no need to lap in the valves .if the vacuum is not to spec or in the green there probably is another problem valve guide too loose or something !

    Guide fitment explanation is a little wacky. Young kid and still learning but overall pretty good info.

    This is a 10 year old video and I wonder if you still use valve paste and lapping? Experts are saying nowadays to not even use that paste for many reasons......

    • @tmanperformance
      @tmanperformance  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, we check every valve seat with our run out gauge and only lap just to see where the seat is sitting on the valve

    8 tenths??? Really how about .008 or 8 ten thousandths...
    .8 is almost an inch
    Lol

    • @a-a-ronoutdooradventures7941
      @a-a-ronoutdooradventures7941 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      .008 is eight thousandths....people that work a lot with one thousandth as a tolerance very often refer to.0008 as eight tenths bc that's in their range of tolerance

    Gee, they test to 100psi for leaks. Most medium compression engines are running 200 psi CCP. Come to your own conclusions?

    • @CyclesInc
      @CyclesInc 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      When you do a leak down test you use 100psi. It's a test for leak down and 100psi is plenty for the test.

      I check my heads with only lacquer thinner, and I've won Championships in N.H.R.A., I.H.R.A., N.M.R.A., AND MANCUP SERIES. Everyone has a opinion, it's like a holes, everyone has one, some are just bigger than others.

    I call BS on the concentricity.... he put the gauge on but did not rotate....& called it good....I call BS! The only thing that he rotated was the valve stem & that tells how true the stem & guide is, did not tell how true the seat & cut is to the stem & guide.

      +koko3052 Look again. At 2:50 to 2:52 you can clearly see the pointer that is contacting the valve seat. That is what he's spinning.

    • @madeuce71
      @madeuce71 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      +koko3052 You can also see him lock the little thumb screw on the pilot/valve stem itself so you know he's not spinning that. :)

    • @koko3052
      @koko3052 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      +madeuce71 OK, I stand corrected.... he just had too many hands in the way to see it clearly. Thx.
