I was there in those early days in Cortez, Colorado. I was given the honor to sit with the White Eagle Singers around the drum. Thank you for continuing the spiritual message of the drum.

I been searching for White Eagle Singers for years. Used to have a few tapes back in the day that have been lost or misplaced. One was recorded live in Reno, Nevada at Numaga Days about 1990 or so. Where can a person find these? Like I say Ive been looking to jam White Eagle Singers in this new millennium!

I asked Arlie if I could post this video and give me some back ground on the song and that is what he told me. I remember The White Eagle Singers from the mid 80s.

Hello to all of my relations, Andrew Neskahi, II here…Son of Arlie Neskahi. The White Eagle Singers were founded in 1974, and are from Shiprock New Mexico. The original ‘first generation’ members of White Eagle were the original 7 sons of my grandfather, Alan Neskahi.
At the young age of 17, my father Arlie, was given the honor to lead the White Eagle singers, in which has been one of his life’s most beautiful attributes for the past 50 years.
Thank you for following the White Eagle Singers and their voice, along the powwow trail, throughout all of the generations.
      Aho’!
      Andrew ‘ANDO’ Neskahi

Leo, thank you. I was just reminded of the White Eagle Drum. I went to school at Ft Lewis and often sang with the drum, I loved learning the songs. I have old cassettes I made at the Pow Wows we went to
