I think Eugene knows he needs them - they are the exact remedy he needs to keep himself from going too far into his funks. The right friends will keep anyone from going too far into funks they need to get out of.
@@lunabelletheinsane It's entirely possible that is true... but speaking as someone who feels very much like Eugene does (or so he makes it seem), I would slowly find ways to remove myself from this group of people who purposely seek to denigrate my spoken boundaries. Eugene has stated he hates certain things. Then his "friends" seek out ways to subjugate him to the things he has made known that he hates. My "friends" at work did this to me... and I had to leave my job and chose to start over in another industry just so I wouldn't have to get cruel-pranked every Xmas & birthday. I never looked back, and I stopped missing those otherwise good friends once I met people who respected me enough to not violate my few hard limits.

Like, the whole pranking Eugene thing aside, this has just been produced in such a great way. I love the whole makeup of this.
Ned as the acting coach was super funny, such a great bit.
The construction of that chair is kinda really impressive. Also, all that planning. Just to get a guy to sit on another guys lap.
Oh, and probably give him a heart attack. Because I would have one if my chair turned out to be alive below me.
And, oh that panic when they didn't know when Eugene would turn up and him not coming with his car and all that. Any time when Eugene looked like he was moving, everyone was so on edge that he might blow it.
And Eugene might say he's angry, but he was happier after that. It made a gloomy day and a day where he was in a bad mood so much better and that's the beauty of these guys together. They just make each other happy, even if they don't think so at first.
Also goes to show his professionalism, because he didn't say anything before he knew that there was no company representative in the studio and even when he thought the chair was hideous he just said nice things and acted just the right way.
Also, have you seen Neds face when Eugene said he'd prank them all?
