This will be much harder for them to actually carry game like the Essex line, but will focus into support role more !
it's not necessarily the mine damage or preparation time that i'm worried about, it's how they will affect the game. the mines will make capping as a DD very hard, because ship-mounted ASW is very bad/hard to use given that on most DDs the ASW comes off the back of the ship, which is basically useless because you're going to be driving _into_ the mines. i'm not saying it's _impossible_ to counter, i'm just saying it's very hard. also the mine damage isn't really a factor one should worry about, because torp protection affects the damage of mines. i'm more worried about flooding, because that slows your ship, deals incredibly large amounts of damage, and if you use your DCP while inside the minefield, you're just going to run into more mines and get another perma-flood if you've just used your DCP. it's going to be like Thunder during her glory days in a way, because Thunder could just keep people set on fire with perma fires and deal MASSIVE amounts of damage without even looking at targets or having any real means of counterplay against her gimmick. just like the mines, which can keep people flooding and deal MASSIVE amounts of damage without even having to look at the targets, and with not much to nil counterplay on light cruisers, some heavy cruisers, DDs, or just anything with ship mounted ASW. In conclusion, the mines are going to be a problem.

And that needs to be stripped. or changes. Honestly. There needs to be two torp type mod. One for shotgun lovers. where their torps start out bad for damage. but get better once 3km range is reached. And one for like me. Full damage right away! But only one torp can be fired every 3 seconds. Forcing a river of death tactic. What do you think?

@@monika-Chr VI ZUIHŌ, VIII HIRYŪ and X TAIHŌ all have mines, but it hasn't a lot of sense right now. Minefield doesn't damage a lot (and it's fine) but also it doesn't slow or put some significant DoT on a ship. Ppl on Rus server pretty much ignore those 5k of potential damage right now.
