The new EFRs are the best turbos to hit the market for moderately high power. You can't beat the response and broad powerband that the titanium wheel provides
I saw ColoradoN5X have a similar problem when he did a single turbo on his M3. Coming to a stop the car would shut of , I think they fixed it with tuning so it might not be a leak. Love the build bro 🔥
Love that you have a manual. Have you upgraded the clutch? I'm actually getting rid of my manual G82 M4 and getting back into a F87 S55 M2 and looking at single turbo options. Only concern is if the clutch will hold up at least 650 TQ cause the G8X require clutches after 600tq
Yes it has a Fx1000 by clutch masters. I have the full build of this car and engine install in previous videos. I definitely recommend speed tech for top mount turbo option!
Engine sounds like it has a bit of an odd growl to it under load. Almost like it's running on 5 cylinders. Is it just me or is that what its supposed to sound like? Can't wait to hear it when it's run in.
I plan to have my engine built in like a year or two currently at 90k miles so Ill probably be at like 110000 something miles by then do you think it would be worth building with that many miles
No not really. Even you want to make even 700-800 stock motor can do that. And those miles aren’t that bad, would just do crank hub, and then you’re coming up on normal maintenance items. I got my car from auction and had a bad motor unknowingly, so I was forced to buy something.
@@Sideways_N55 Crankhub already done im fbo rn but going single this summer. But yea the plan would be 700-800 wheel if stock motor can hold around that perfect. What about upgraded clutches for dct?
I got this car with bad engine and 138k. Turbos were rattling. Built the motor, and if I’m this deep might as well do single turbo, at the time this kit had just came out.
lol why would you roll the quarter panels on a f80, there are guys running 18x12 325 without rubbing, you just need proper fitting wheels/tires. Doesn't matter on a wrecked salvage car I guess
So you started with arguing that it’s a tiny tire and I don’t need a roll now it’s the offset? pick one. If I had .3° of more camber adjustment, this tire would fit no problem, I just couldn’t do it on the alignment rack with my current arms. Send me a message on Instagram.
been watching this rebuild for awhile, got my YMB 6MT F80 on Silverstone last weekend. such a good looking car, happy to see yours finally on the road

Yeah just super expensive lol I got this one off Facebook, new, $2300. It’s like a $3300 in this combination(1.05ar and aluminum core)
super clean build bro i love the car

For the headlights also worth looking into the aftermarket Ikons, since you seem cool with going the China/aftermarket route like I do.
Yeah I’ve seen them but I don’t really like black housing if that makes sense. I really like the adaptive style ones.
Love the wheels.
Efr> can’t wait to hear this thing at full tilt

@@Sideways_N55 did the speedtech kit sound good?
love your videos, can I ask where did you get this Jack? 2:28
They are called quickjack
Stop making me want a BMW Mr. Sideways_N55 lol great video. M3 sounds soooooooo good
It happens to all of us my friend. Just give in..

It’s a pretty big turbo so at low RPM’s it takes some build up
Been watching for a minute now love the build.. what are you using for boost control? Im going single turbo soon
Motiv reflex and 4 port Mac solenoid
Nice to see it running🔥🔥🔥 what’s the wheel width/offsets?
10.5+20 square 5mm front spacer
275/35 295/35
you willing to give link for the rear diffuser ? 😊
Does the single turbo kit from speed tech has to be a comp f8x?

If u still need a oem adaptive driver side headlight in perfect condition I got one lol 32k miles with all modules aswell
Single turbo f80 or the e92 which one do you think is more fun as a weekend car.
E9X M3 all day as weekend car. If you only have 1 car and need a daily it, F80.
Is your efr turbo internally wastegated ?
No W/G, it’s regular style turbo, with 44mm external dump of the Speedtech manifold. Speedtech offers the kit with external or recirculated dump.
who tuned your car and what platform did you use for tuner?
Looks like MHD.
How did you get the hood to close
It needed the slightest bit of cutting on the Skelton of the hood. Very minimal. Just because of this specific turbo.
No intercooler?
S55 uses a top mount intercooler that runs coolant through it.
Ok kool@@Sideways_N55
How do you get the turbo flutter?
EFR just be doin it.
no blow off valve
what’s the specs on the TEs?
10.5+20 square 5mm front spacer
275/35 295/35
18s or 19s
@@Sean-ck2xr I’m 99% sure they are 18s pretty common spec for e9x/f8x cars
Apart of the sound I don't see the benefits over the OEM configuration

And stock twins max out about 500. I was gonna do upgraded twins but can do small single for same price and spool time similar with right turbo.
Don't ruin those rear fenders with roller...
Why?
lol why would you roll the quarter panels on a f80, there are guys running 18x12 325 without rubbing, you just need proper fitting wheels/tires. Doesn't matter on a wrecked salvage car I guess
18x12 no chance lol I wanted to run these wheels, I wanted to run this size tire, so they take a slight roll no biggie.
@@Sideways_N55 whatever works, just letting you know you dont have roll for such a tiny tire size
@easternarmory7617 tiny? Haha yeah this needs a roll guy. Good luck with your F80.
@@Sideways_N55 it needs a roll because your offset is incorrect. 295s aint shit
