  • South Africa's economy grew by 0.6% in the second quarter of this year, from the beginning of April through June. That's compared to 0.4% in the first quarter.
That's higher than the forecast of the Reserve Bank but in line with some predictions.
On an annualized basis the economy grew by 1.6 percent in the second quarter compared to the same quarter last year.
The manufacturing and financial sectors contributed most to the increase while the rise in investments included products related to renewable energy.
To discuss we're joined by Senior Economist from PwC, Xhanti Payi.
