If you look at the reasoning behind it, it's obvious, he doesn't want to be seen as Asian and he'll turn it into cheap laughs. Kelly, you're better than this.
I'm typically amused and inspired by Kelly's content, but this video had hit me differently vs the other ones. Watching 13:22 to 13:34 caused me discomfort. Using humor out of playfully poking a specific race isn't comedic in general, and being half Asian doesn't provide a valid excuse to do so :/ I wholeheartedly agree Kelly is better than this too. His videos are ordinarily A1, but this one was different.

I completely agree. This is racist, disrespectful behavior on Kelly's part and I was sad to see the other people in the video laughing at his jokes and just going along with it.

I feel like Kelly has a good heart at the core, and I get the angle/bit he was going at with the jokes, and honestly this dude seems like a fun dude to be around. Though part of me honestly felt a bit eh/cringe about the whole “Asian” vs “white” thing being referenced, as I feel this is just old low hanging fruit jokes, that don’t bode well with the current climate.
But I also get it too as I mean he’s also white and didn’t have much connection to his roots as both his parents and grandparents grew up in the US. But then again that got me thinking that eventually in a couple or few generations down the line our kids will be just if not more Americanized than even people who are second gen Asian American like myself.
So in conclusion I guess I’m just mixed about the whole thing as this could be considered micro aggressions, and if he said it around other Asians who were more upfront like David So or the JKFilms crew it would be a different story. Though at the end of the day this is his experience as a human being, so it’s all good in my eyes. As I feel he got that heart and vibe to his stuff for the most part.
