Pounding posts for a trellis system

We farm In Missouri, we grow more rocks than soil! I use steel post for my HD apples! Do you grow any MAIA varieties?

I am amazed at how well that post pounder works. What happens underground when there are rocks in the way? Does it ever stop making progress because of the rocky soil on the ridge?
