Why Are Some Moms Anonymously Stuffing Cash Into Baby Items?

- Moms are helping other moms out by anonymously stuffing cash or gift cards into baby items at the supermarket. They're popping into stores and going straight to the baby product aisle. Then they tuck gift cards or cash right into baby products. The movement is called "she deserved the purse." Kylie Nelson is giving back because she was once a struggling mom. Inside Edition's Alison Hall as more.
Now, some random person will start stealing the money meant for moms or pops that need it. Super nice gesture to whoever started this.❤
This isn’t a nice gesture. This is a selfish gesture.
Like you said, they shouldn’t leave it for people who may not need it. They could make an effort to find people in need.
But that just isn’t the goal here. Clearly.
Yeah, this should have not been announced.

No, it wasn’t. Ask the OP.
Paying it forward in any form isn’t selfish in my eyes. Filmed or not, the act is done.
Not really anonymous when you film yourself doing it… God forbid you help out those in need without filming yourself. They care more about “clout” than helping others.
I can understand that, I was a single dad. I wonder what they spend on.
Exactly. You want to help out other moms in your area? Volunteer or fundraise for a local childcare centre, food bank, or children's hospital.
@@zammmerjammerOr buy the items yourself and have a free giveaway without filming it
Exactly!!!!!!
@@gasparvillalba7435nope! These women want attention! It’s so ridiculous
Thanks for telling all the thieves....good job
Right😂😂😂😂😂
Exactly
Thieves were already doing that.
Came here for this comment lol
it not theft if it’s out in the open
Now theives will know.
Attention. They’re doing it for attention.
Yep none of them would donate a dollar unless they could record and profit from it.
If they’re making videos, they’re not doing it for others. They’re doing it for themselves.
Maybe search out people who actually need it.
This! 💯
Why film it? Just do it. Anything for attention 🙄....
Exactly.. anonymous doesn’t mean filming yourself doing it to farm approval from strangers online
Right they don’t actually do it for the meaning just a trend they get on 🙄
And..? Even if it's for attention, the more attention it gets the more it happens. Would you rather be a poor parent and get no money, or be paid by someone who's posting it online.
100% Facts!
@@deputyhobbs9683nah it’s ridiculous and fake! They wait for hours to film this nonsense
If they're filming themselves doing it and posting it online (hungry for social media praise), that's not "anonymous", is it?
Not all moms see the video. It would be anonymous to the lucky mom who finds it.
Dumb thing to do because people would just take them and that's all
It’s not dumb
Inside edition is a tabloid show and they don't think about the ramifications of their so-called journalism.
They should understand now that they expose this that the thieves will just go right there and steal it.
@@Dwayne-Mobile1just hide it very good
Never would have been on my radar but now I may just have to find my way into the baby section 😅
@@Goomi_894 I E just let everyone know where to go and steal these cards.
A few things:
1. If they were "quietly" supposedly doing a "good gesture", why TF would you post it publicly???? Stuff like this gives me the "ick." 🤢
If you're gonna be kind, cool but do so OFF camera! You're not "quietly" doing anything! You're clout chasing! "Oh, look what I did for this homeless person." "Oh, I'm gonna put money and paid-for gift cards inside of random baby items for unfortunate parents/soon-to-be parents."
Like girl. 🤦
If they're less fortunate, they have no business having a baby! 😒
Bringing a baby into poverty is so disgusting, despicable, SELFISH, abusive, harmful and reprehensible!
2. If you call yourself trying to be "generous," why not put money and paid-for gift cards in ALL the baby items? Why should there only be ONE lucky winner?
3. Oh, yeah. Did I mention THEFT?! Like, y'all do realize people will start hijacking baby items in BULK now, right? They did it during COVID-19 and they'll continue to do it now!
Why not go directly to the labor and delivery wing at local hospital if one is feeling called to donate gift cards?
It is for views and clout… they have been doing nothing quietly 😂😂
It's not anonymous if they're recording themselves doing it 😤 smh
Because we live in a weird a$$ society nowadays. And we do everything for a little bit of internet clout
ANONYMOUSLY??? With cameras and selfie sticks broadcasting? Ok
WELP!...... Don't be surprised to see people opening baby products to find the gift certificates even though they have no baby.
Exactly.
Good Gesture but thieves will catch on.
Seems like a self gesture to me.
It's not stealing if they're leaving it out for people.
I imagined target workers now checking lids and places for cash and gift cards.
Plot twist… Somebody was planning on stealing that purse and an employee walked up and they ditched it in the baby aisle😂
creating that whole story in her head is hilarious.
If they're posting it online, it's NOT anonymous.
I watched thieves walked out the door with baby diapers first hand, so now they'll get a little extra tip i guess. Just pay for someone's item at the checkout directly would be better
I like this trend. People helping other people.
Now Baby Products will be raided by GTA Zombies!
Even God despises those who do stuff for attention. If you want to do something kind for someone in need you can do it humbly and quietly.
I agree 👍💯
god must hate the bible then
I get stuffing them INTO some diapers or something like that, but leaving it under a product…? Who on earth would assume, “hey, this must be free money meant for me”?
There is a better option stop having more Clutch goblins
America can be so dense. Advertising free gift cards🤪
…why not just donate to a single-moms charity where the money is guaranteed to get into the hands of someone who needs it? What if the recipient is a married mother with a household income of 150k+?… or even half that? This isn’t some act of altruism. It’s circle-jerk trend like everything else on social media.
Things like this can never be done because of thieves
Keep it up 👏🏼
I have gotten so much money looking at these baby items 😂
Way to show criminals to go and steal. Why can't people just keep their mouths shut. It's supposed to go unnoticed as in pay it forward. Way to ruin a good thing. Can't keep things quiet. All for attention have to ruin it.
I'm all for kindness but this is a ridiculous way to go about it
Then they turn off the camera and retrieve the item or cash
This is the nicest video I've seen in a long time.
Note yourself: check the baby section for discount coupon or a gift card
How to legally rob a store 101
Also, poor people don’t really shop at target. Just throwing that out there.😂
A nice gesture but why record it?
I really like the support for mothers really struggling but its the thieves and homeless people taking money.
Well it's not really "quiet" or "anonymous" when you film yourself doing it and then post it...
This is so beautiful and a good example of spreading kindness.
I dont mind that they get attention online while doing something good but their method is wrong. There is no grantee that a struggling mom will get the gift card.
Maybe don't have kids if you can't afford them...🤦♀
I don’t have any problem with the “attention seeking” people complain about. The only thing I would say is don’t open baby formula lids and stuff because you can contaminate the product.
The pessimist in me thinks the lady hid in the baby aisle to hide the purse on her person in order to steal it, but then chickened out.
That's really sweet, but people will eventually start stealing the money and the department stores will have to stop this act of kindness
What a great way to help out mothers with babies! I would love it if people would they put money or a gift card by surprise in board/card games, toys, & anything fun to spread joy & happiness.
Is what they're doing generous? Yes.
Is how they're doing it smart? No.
Well, inside edition ruined that. Why advertise this to criminals?
@@michaelg.854 The people doing it ruined it by trying to go viral.
Those moms ruin that to themselves by having them film themselves doing it, so it’s not anonymous. Plus, the original TikTok video of this trend had over 21 million views according to Inside Edition at the end of this video, while this video only has 38k views at the time I made this comment.
i didnt know this. im not a pregnant mom. I didnt NEED to know this. Wtf..
Not everyone needs to know because not everyone is a good person
Why cant they just give money to actual people in the baby aisle?
That's smart. Let's tell the whole world. Now, when you walk down the baby section, you will see all that stuff opened looking for cash and give cards
It’s their money 💰 I have no problem of them leaving gifts for random people . That’s their choice.
Why would you post this.
Im scared that other people will go through these items to grab the money and gift cards . Let’s not place a lot of attention on this.
More the reasons in not getting pregnant and having to give birth if you’re not financially invested in able to afford the cost of taking care of a child, the struggle is no joke it’s real. It’s very endearing, sweet and heartwarming but when it goes down to receiving or begging for charity handouts in order to care of a child you couldn’t afford in the first place to begin with……🤦🏾♀️like why does have to go down that route!!!
Man this would have been nice when we became parents to twins, we were asked randomly if we wanted to adopt twins from someone. We didn’t say no, we said yea if they don’t change there minds. We didn’t get our hopes up, until the week they were born. Man we did everything so quickly and with a lot of help from my mom. On things we needed. But we lived away from fame so she visited about 3 times a year to help. My spouse was military. We had to learn as we went. I use to always put money aside 500& to be exact every month for formula from sams. Bought 8 containers to last the month for the twins. One day a lady told me about some coupons I can get from enfamil and I did what she said. Got a few discounts for a while. Years later we’re so blessed and happy. Lol formula money went to grocery’s
That is so amazing and well deserved..hats off to theses amazing moms
I love that but why film it for awful thief’s they’ll be tearing up baby diapers 💀💀
Ha, I’m going straight to this isle and checking all these items for treasure!
Just buy the products and donate at your local food pantry.
What if it wasn't even a mom who put that purse there? It could've been anyone really.
"anonymously"? they're doing it on their youtube channels. They make way more money with views and ads than the chump change they leave behind.
Great way to bless someone!!! God is Good! 🙏🏽🙌🏽
Nice job letting thieves aware
In the words of Cardi B. and Offset:

You know what would be better than a $20 gift card? Vote for legislation that will help parents out, such as extending Medicaid, extended maternity/paternity leave, raising minimum wage (livable wages), and finally affordable housing!
God bless all of these young ladies❤
Should of kept it secret!
Dumb why put it out there so other people who don't need it can take it. But only if they can find it. Good idea tho lady's 😊❤
its their husband's money
100% 😅
Finally a TikTok trend that does something good for others.
They’re no longer anonymous.
The more the merrier. They should keep this movement going. I’m looking at the positive. The outcome and the change. 🎉
Well now Mom’s will never find anything because thieves will be scouring the baby isles. Things like this should just stay on the DL, but nope, someone chose TikTok fame instead of being a humble, quiet good Samaritan. 🥀
This is not the way to do it.
IG whooores helping other single moms 😂
I wanna see videos of people who ended up being the lucky buyers of those items
I wish they wouldn't put them inside the product (under the flap of a box, or under the lid/over the seal on the formula), don't breach the packaging of the product, you could make someone worry the product inside's been tampered with. Tylenol in the 80s, anyone?
And of course now that every news station had to have a story, this will be over with once people start skimming the baby aisles. 🙄
Hopefully it’ll remain as what it’s intended for.
Good job filming it so that people will know to steal the cards and money from those places and prevent any of the moms and dads that may have needed the money to ever get it. :/
This is so dumb.
Now everyone is gonna rip open packages to try to find money and gift cards😂
Very sweet but it’s not a good idea to put this on the news.
its not a bad idea
No, the filming for attention is the issue.
It is a bad idea. Tossing 50 bucks into the void doesn't do much to help anyone.
They could donate to a local nursery school or food bank or children's hospital, and that money would actually go where it's needed.
But then they wouldn't get the social media attention and validation they so desperately crave.
Such a bad idea… literally anyone could be buying those. Plus now any lowlifes who saw this story will be checking those sections now…
just copped 49 bucks in 2 targets, BOUTA GET MORE
I really like the gesture, but it should be anonymous
Good gesture ❤️
That’s so sweet!
I bet they go back and take those money after the cameras is off
No wonder I saw a bunch of teen guys standing at the diaper section..
Going to Target tomorrow
Me going to target to take the gift cards and money:
I think it’s a great idea, but putting it out there for the whole world to see you’re gonna get the dishonest people
Well I’m going to Target tomorrow to check 😂💀
Dum. Doubt its real.
God Bless Moms
People be imaging all sorts of scenarios 😂
