What all these women are accomplishing TODAY in Kona is outstanding! I live in Hawaii and today there was almost NO wind just a breeze which makes racing so much difficult and they stood up to Kona's weather inclemence! Congrats to Lucy and I hope she can recover and manage to stay healthy! For all the ones still out there! Is not easy but please keep it going!
I can't imagine someone more deserving of winning a World Championship. 4!! times she was caught and ended up standing on the second-place podium, and to make sure it won't happen this year she goes and sets the fastest time in the history of the event! Good job Lucy, truly inspiring!
I watched the race until midnight in my part of the world and it was clear already on the bike that LCB had one of these magical days where everything comes together. Like Daniela had in Roth, like Chelsea had last year. Congrats to LCB, Anne Haug and Laura Philippe for getting on the podium in the most stacked field ever. It took a course record overall and a run record to be broken for 2 of the 3 on the podium. Outstanding! Another thing that caught my attention : the broadcast of the women's race has already more views than the men's. Fantastic achievement as it proves triathlon is one of the most equal sports where women inspire as much as the men.
I competed in this race and haven't watched it until now. What a fabulous coverage and having the wonderful and very pregnant Rinny commentating was just gorgeous. Thank you Ironman for such a fabulous coverage. I really appreciate the wonderful women you have had (plus the men) covering this race.

Watched this in June 2024. I got caught up in Ironman and have loved the way the woman are positive and smiling and look just happy to race. LCB was amazing. She was mighty but all the women gave her all in a mighty battle. So fun to watch.
Makes a big difference when you haven't got the men pulling the back swimmers up on the cycle leg. An amazing race... congratulation Lucy and all the woman who raced, so good to see Lucy win she is a great ambassador for the sport. Definitely separate days for woman and men but still in Kona would be perfect. But Kona doesn't allow it. The amount of money the triathletes bring in for the 2 weeks really helps support the community.

Great race, absolutely outstanding athletes, fantastic venue, wrapped up by absolutely pathetic commentary, lacking and incorrect on-screen race data, and tons of annoying advertising. IM may be making money but they are not doing the sport, and thereby the athletes, any favours.

Taylor is a fantastic athlete, and has a lovely positive personality, but rather than covering her at least 50% of the entire race it would have been so much nicer to see how the rest of the race was developing. Typical IM though. They usually only focus on the first 2-3 leading athletes and gives you no insight as to what happens behind them.

I noticed the same thing, she is amazing and maybe they see her as somewhat of a baby there although she is a monster athlete, but LCB had such an amazing race and should have had more attention on herself. Also would have been nice if we could see more than a few pro athletes. I would love to see age group competitors covered as well. This feels like 7 people are competing.

For the first time ever, we had 16 professional women completing the race under 9hours too - incredible and insane in this heat!

Sad that there’s still full audio on the men’s world championship broadcast, but IM can’t seem to figure it out for the women’s.
