Though they appear dead they are very much alive if you leave them in a controlled environment away from predators.

I just watched a video from Myth Busters, which did a similar experiment as you, but they kept the "drowned" roaches in a container overnight. All 5 were alive and well the next day. It would be great if you repeat the experiment :)

I had mine in a pot partially filled fhw pot and fhey drowned within minutes because they got tired from swimming around in circles it couldnt climb up

Thanks to logic and physics laws for still working well and those little demons were truly dead due to that.
