I am a Hindu and i too believe that marriage within the same gotra is prohibited,and it is scientifically proven that one shouldn't marry someone who belong from the same ancestral group(same gotra)if one does so there can be complications on the offspring.
But my point is about inter caste marriage which is very much required even according to Supreme Court and Science were it is said that a child with parents from different communities has particular positive straits.
Lets also see in case of Lord Ram who belong to the Ksastriya caste and married Sita,Sita's caste is unknown but Ram still marries her, because he wanted to give a message that one can marry beyond his caste,he even eat together with a women of low caste,and even if you may say that Sita belong to Brahmins caste because she was brought up by Raja Janak who was a Brahmin,the marriage was between Ram and sita was that of a Ksastriya and a Brahmin.
I support inter caste marriage openly with facts, scientifically proven thesis,and logically as well.

But then there are certain differences in the constitution itself.....for example the cast based reservation system.... trust me none of my friends knew each others cast..(coz we didn't bother to) until we had to fill up the forms under certain categories.....

VISHAL SEHWAG Khap panchayats are basically caste based customary bodies having no legal powers but acting as de facto courts administering criminal justice. Any act of Khap panchayats which is contrary to any law, is triable in any judicial court in India and if any cognizable offence has been committed police is supposed to take cognisance.
