This place is beautiful.. many many stories about the place. Never go on Halloween. The crypt used to be open. But because of vandals and young ones it’s no longer open. Been brought up around the place.
The Campbells of Loudon is the classic Campbell gyronny of eight, but instead of gold and black it's red and ermine to commemorate the original Crawford line who held Loudon. One of the handsomest shields in Scottish heraldry. Also uses the ancient phoenix crest of the early Crawfords.
Wonderful to see you work of then the ancestral Kirk and AuldLoudoun castle. I last visited Loudoun Castle in 1986. Hope to return next year.
Thank-you.
Thanks again for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it
