This was one of my favorite tutorials! The things you taught us about painting, Sarah, and water to brush ratio, etc. were things I feel all of us needed to hear. But most importantly was the way you expressed to us how important it is for us to be willing to paint or do other things for people who are hurting or even those who are experiencing joy. You truly are the best teacher and encourager here on You Tube. Thank you so much for this tutorial and for all you do.
Sarah you and LMA are remarkable. You are right. Life can be so hard. And so isolating. Especially now. Thank you for loving this sweet family who had to say goodbye to their loved one. Nothing replaces their loss but man what a big giant hug this community is going to give them. This made me cry tonight. And it made me hug my family a little tighter tonight. Let's make art matter always touchs my heart, but this one hits me a bit harder. Although I dont know this sweet family they live in my area. I couldn't find the P.O. I have watched a few of your videos, but this is my first tutorial that I’m trying to paint along with you. I do like your teaching techniques and am enjoying it very much. Question and comment…. I am a beginner and have already invested in a Windsor and Newton pan set and really don’t want to spend more money on your liquid watercolors yet as I’m just getting the feel of the pan paints.however, I’m struggling I little with matching colors to yours. I know it doesn’t have to be exact, but I am trying to figure out which Colors are most like your colors. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you.
Hi Karen, I would advise using Burnt Umber, Indanthrene Blue, Permanent Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium Orange, and Cobalt Green Deep if you have them. Sarah always encourages those painting along to make projects their own, please do not feel pressure to have your project turn out exactly like hers. Make the colors your own.
