I've watched this game from 3 separate perspectives and I still can't fathom how Dumbdog guesses 5Fu. 5up had been totally silent and Hafu had barely said five words in the meeting.
Its instinct. He sees that imposters are smart and skilled so 5fu is the perfect combo of that. As Glitch he had vision so he could see them better than crewmates do still its his deduction that is 5fu.
i feel like it's this intuition that comes from thinking about pairing and deducing other roles in general. like if a certain player is imp, who's their partner? and we can't discount the fact that they've been playing together for YEARS now, it's a set dynamic almost. but i agree, it's crazy that watching this video, it's almost as if dumbdog's conclusion came out of NOWHERE, but from his pov it makes sense for some reason, at least it did to me.
You don't know for that sure. Neither Hafu or 5up had an inkling that Dumbdog was bad. They would've been so concentrated on killing him, and Annie would've reported the body regardless. Even if they skipped that round, there's a chance that Dumbdog would've just been near them and if they killed/cleaned, it's a gg coz they're vulnerable to being killed by him. Idk there's scenarios that they won if they didn't trigger comms, but also not. As long as Dumbdog was alive, he would've voiced out 5fu as a pair, Annie and Kara supported him which is enough because it's a mayor + transporter's word
i havent watched 5up in months (after going through a very passionate 5up phase) but as soon as I saw the words "5fu" I wanted to click on this and as soon as I saw "vs Dumbdog" I was SOLD back to my 5up phase? I'll actually have to watch the video to see hehe
There are up to three roles that can guess a role: one of the two imposters, one neutral killer like the glitch for example, and/or the vigilante, which is crew. You get one chance to guess anyone's role (unless you have the doubleshot modifier, which gives you two), if you guess correctly they die, if you're wrong you die. 5up knew that gumi was the medic because he had tried to kill dumbdog earlier and couldn't because dd had a medic shield which protects him from being attacked. So when gumi addressed dumbdog directly and tried to "subtly" let him know that she was alerted that someone tried to kill him, 5up knew it was gumi that gave dd the shield, so he guessed her as the medic and shot her. Generally speaking folks try not to share their role overtly because it is likely they will get shot on it!
Imposters can see their partner either imps or lovers. Mayor when the person decides to reveal (mind u before reveal they ca be guessed). Snitch is revealed to imposters when they got 2 tasks left (3rd party killer doesnt see that only imps hence it can be guessed that way). Imposters and 3rd party killer can guess crewmate/neutral roles while Vigilante can guess imposters/3rd party. Plaguebearer can be guessed but after it becomes Pestilence it cannot. When u are dead u see all the roles.
"Dumbdog, there's an evil amongst us" means "Dumbdog, I'm the medic, I shielded you, and I got notified that somebody around you just tried to kill you."
He tried to kill dumbdog in the stack just before meeting (you can see that he clicked the button) and gumi said "dumbdog there's a great evil amongst us" and that's the info he needed
it feels to SUDDEN for DumbDog To guess them, My assumption is that he prob had one of thier streams up (accident or not) and simply Knew and pretended to "Figure it out"
