Put the bottle down ten plus years ago now just had 7 months Clean and slipped today a tad heard this song and came back to the understanding it’s my own demon and I can’t use an excuse. So I am doing it this time as I did learn something I am doing this for me,myself and I that’s 3 people in my corner. I owned my shit and I got it for this second. AMEN
Saw them in a Buffalo basement bar in probably 1996. They were great. Buffalo gets to listen to the southern Ontario radio stations. Lots of Canooks crossed the border that night to see the show, so everyone knew the songs and, being a bar, there was some alcohol involved. Woman in one hand, beer in other, friends around, great tunes. What could be better than that? I miss the 90s.
They sit with the Canadian music gods like no one else. Matt Good, Moist and Treble Charger only wish they were as raw as The Headstones. The 90's will never be forgotten or replaced ever in music. I'm so fortunate to have live between the two greatest cities for rock in the 90's Vancouver BC and Seattle.
Yet these guys are from Kingston and sowed thier oats in Canada's real music hub, Toronto i had the same dealer as Hughie, saw them many times un many venues back when he had hair. Good times, although heroin addiction can be a bitch, very hard on the wallet.. But these guys rock
Say what you will, these guys had raw emotional talent. That differs from raw talent. I think they lived what it was we heard from them. Not a clue if I am correct, but I am glad they recorded their output. Takes a good producer to harness that, as well. Kudos to all. Nice tune.
Good for me for a time All hell's cubically contained Staunched and bottled Pressed and altered And at the ready for the reigns The first tiny little shadows Of my creepy little thoughts Inhabit all that matters And I lose by default And I'll never promise anything again And I'll never promise anything again And I'll never promise anything again I've set a dozen 12 step traps But they've slid by everyone I never catch the little bastards I really do with that they'd own up Those paranoid little fuckers Take their paranoid little time And when the mood rolls in They're bank robbin' And I'm a hostage who will drive And I'll never promise anything again Now I can only do so much And I will never deviate I hear myself take a deep breath And think I must have wanted it this way I remember all those little traps I could not keep them in place They were never stationed anywhere They were terrorized and maimed So tonight I've set a vigil And my shadows all that's cast And the iron that's encased it Is doing all that one could ask And I'll never promise anything again And I'll never promise anything again And I'll never promise anything again

Never promised anything again
#Toronto
Good for me for a time
All hell's cubically contained
Staunched and bottled
Pressed and altered
And at the ready for the reigns
The first tiny little shadows
Of my creepy little thoughts
Inhabit all that matters
And I lose by default
And I'll never promise anything again
And I'll never promise anything again
And I'll never promise anything again
I've set a dozen 12 step traps
But they've slid by everyone
I never catch the little bastards
I really do with that they'd own up
Those paranoid little fuckers
Take their paranoid little time
And when the mood rolls in
They're bank robbin'
And I'm a hostage who will drive
And I'll never promise anything again
Now I can only do so much
And I will never deviate
I hear myself take a deep breath
And think I must have wanted it this way
I remember all those little traps
I could not keep them in place
They were never stationed anywhere
They were terrorized and maimed
So tonight I've set a vigil
And my shadows all that's cast
And the iron that's encased it
Is doing all that one could ask
And I'll never promise anything again
And I'll never promise anything again
And I'll never promise anything again
All that than one could ask.
Wish not with but pretty close.
I believe it’s I really do wish, not I really do with that they’d own up lol, it’s all good haha...
I recently discovered that these guys were probably influenced by goddo
