So cool seeing this up close! This show took me by surprise and I absolutely loved it, and this costume might be one of my favorites of all time. Bravo to the team that made it happen!
That suit is just.... It's what that flash costume was in the early 90's. It sets a new bar. If you ever see a stuntman or actor in there in motion it looks even cooler. It doesn't need any camera tricks or special lighting to look amazing. Just sitting there in the department it has such a presence.
I’m just forever grateful that so much love was put into not just the costume but the entire show as Moon Knight is my favorite and I never in a million years expected there to ever be a solo Moon Knight series or film. It makes my inner nerd heart swell with pride and joy.
I can only think of one word to describe all this work: LOVE. Love for the character, for the storytelling, for the mystery, for the built narrative, literally INGRAINED into the suit
Imagine you worked on something and not only do you get compliments on your work by Adam Savage, but he asks if he could please intern to learn; now that is a compliment
All I'll say is there's a reason this suit actually felt tangible and looked incredible in comparison to most modern MCU CGI costumes. This is where the DCEU usually excels, so Marvel has absolutely nailed it here.
Such incredible work. Any time I see something like this my mind goes back to the 2000 X-Men movie costumes because it was the era of "comic book heroes wear silly spandex, they have to look COOL and HIP for the film" and now we're at the point where technology has helped to elevate the craft to a level where you really can accurately echo those comic book appearances in a realistic way that doesn't have to look like that old "fake cool" aesthetic.
The amount of detail put into this costume (and many other costumes) by the artists is incredible! They really love their job because they know that most of those details will go unnoticed on the show. Great great job! And thanks for showing us this.
By far the best looking suit in the MCU! Hope with the slowing of the pace for the next phase we get more time to appreciate costumes that are designed.
This is a fantastic video! Such an amazing group of designers and craftspeople and one of my favorite costumes! Thank you Adam for asking all of the questions I would have asked!

Moon knight might be the best live action Marvel costume, right up there with Iron Man. After decades on end of the tactical pad on pad designed by Andy Park (who were great at the time, but became repetitive) I couldn't believe how GREAT this costume was, how original, organic, epic it felt. This makes me admire it much more. Those arm braces are crazy!!!
Absolutely love walking around this place. It's a hive of absoloute awesomeness... its not every day you walk around the corner and see a shelf full of prototype and finished Superman's chest logos... and walking into reception and seeing that like 8 foot tall robot... its amazing.
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I have Moon Knight on my dream cosplay list and I've been rewatching the show and searching for pictures. This is a true gold mine. It's so beautiful. All the work that went into it is truly amazing. It's so amazing on screen and off. They should be very proud of these suits. I'd like to see Mr. Knight too cause there is a lot of stitching I can see in the show. Thank you, Adam and the costume creators for sharing this. I'm so excited and happy. I've gotta go work on my suit now.
I studied design and it's great to see the costume design team (including pattern makers, and seamstresses) getting the attention they deserve. Costume design really is a constant exercise in problem solving. This costume in particular is great, because it captures the look of the character so perfectly. I'm sure Adam loved every second of this. I think Moon Knight is one of the best Marvel series out there. I'm glad Disney is allowing some of these less mainstream Marvel characters to be given the spotlight.
The amount of extreme detail in this that no one will ever see is definitely the telltale sign of this being a labor of love. Designed and built by people who really are fans of Marvel, comic books and/or superheroes in general. I wonder if we will see Moonknight again, whether that be in a season two or in an appearance in some future MCU movie...
I worked at a toy company mostly on the mechanical end of the project. I ended up working on plush toys, animating eyes, ears, and so on. One day, I was introduced to a fabric engineer and thought to myself, "Oh ya, a seamstress ". Boy, was I wrong. We had several of them, and they were all fabulous! Battery life is important for any toy, and if the fabric hinders motion, it can eat up the battery in no time.
I was so excited for this series. Moon Knight was one of my favorites, growing up, but they spent too much time focusing on the split personalities. They didn't make that such a huge part of the comics. I love how the series started. One of my favorite beginnings I've ever seen, but they didn't really switch gears after that.
Wow! I loved Moon Knight. Easily one of my top Marvel productions so far. What an amazing costume! This video is also a cosplayers dream. Seeing all that detail up close!!!
The way Adam looks very impressed and interested throughout the video just shows how nice he is. And I'm also impressed by how cool that Moon Knight suit in real life is🤯
The look of the character and this suit in particular were the high point of the series. I can't imagine a cosplayer making anything quite this complex.
This is the most amazing work of costume art ever created. So beautiful. So elaborate. So elegant. The amount of intricacies that went into every facet of the design is nothing short of astounding. It's my favorite Marvel costume ever. Even before I knew the process that went into this labor of love, I thought I wanted to make the costume and wear it for cosplay. Now I realize that was folly. It took a team of the best costume experts to craft this masterpiece. I'm just a dude. So I'll just sit back and sigh and fantasize about it some day.
They really did my all time favorite heros custom so much justice and with so much awe. Thanks for covering it with detail, i love this so much and cant believe how much effort went into this
If they don't make 10 more seasons and a movie of MoonKnight... I myself, and many many more will freak out. The story, the actor, EVERYTHING. Is pure gold
I was in absolute awe of this costume while watching the show and cannot even begin to express how much I appreciate this video. It truly is a like a glimpse at a master class in costume design and fabrication at the highest level. Like Adam said, many costumes are designed to give the illusion of depth and layers, this thing just has depth and layers. And every single part is designed with the stunt people in mind. I'm gonna need Corridor Crew to feature this video in Stuntmen React now. I'd love to see Gui & other MCU stunt people react to this crazy thing.
I was already impressed with the Moon Knight costumes but seeing this indepth look takes it to a whole other level. These are my favorite kind of Tested videos by far. Awesome work!

One day, I was introduced to a fabric engineer and thought to myself, "Oh ya, a seamstress ". Boy, was I wrong. We had several of them, and they were all fabulous! Battery life is important for any toy, and if the fabric hinders motion, it can eat up the battery in no time.
I love the suit so much, so many hidden details and beautifully designed!!
My mom is a seamstress and a quilt maker, yarn knitting genius - so when I see this level of detail it blows my mind!
Not much to say about this, but stunning. Absolutely stunning. Having the moon in the chest was inspired!
oh wow, could not hit play fast enough on this one! one of my favorite costume designs in the MCU for sure.
just by seeing the velcro you know its the highest quality they work with there
Moon knights suit is incredible. The video is so informative. Respect to their hard work.
The way Adam looks very impressed and interested throughout the video just shows how nice he is.
And I'm also impressed by how cool that Moon Knight suit in real life is🤯
I knew the costume Looked great in the show but I didn't realise how impressive it was as a piece of work. Genuinely amazing
What an awesome look. Would love to see more of this
Absolutely fascinating and very well executed. But her powder blue knitwear and brown corduroys stole the show for me 😊
The look of the character and this suit in particular were the high point of the series. I can't imagine a cosplayer making anything quite this complex.
Incredible! I actually didn't think the real thing would have this many details.
hands down one of the most amazing costume in MCU
Beautiful work, amazing detail and craftsmanship! Fascinating to see how each piece and stage is figured out and taken to its final version❤
I've been working on my MK for a while now, back and forth. This AMAZING video makes me need to get back to it-thank you Adam!
They really did my all time favorite heros custom so much justice and with so much awe. Thanks for covering it with detail, i love this so much and cant believe how much effort went into this
This costume is marvelous! The intricate details that are placed throughout it are brilliant! Thanks for posting this.
Such a badass costume! I would love to have one!
Too Bad they made a crap show . Disney ruins everything it touches
@@dictorfeelgood Did you just call Moon Knight a crap show?
One of my favorite costumes in the whole MCU. Brilliant.
I was already impressed with the Moon Knight costumes but seeing this indepth look takes it to a whole other level. These are my favorite kind of Tested videos by far. Awesome work!
That's insane 🤯 I'm already tired only by thinking the amount of work that went on doint it. So detailed. I tottaly missed that watching the show
