Hey everyone, there seems to be an issue with this video playing through the iOS TH-cam app. If you're using another platform and it's not loading let me know in the comments. I'm going to look into this issue further but it seems to be working on all other platforms. Thanks!
I love how the CN Tower looks between those two skyscrapers beautiful 🥰 glad to see how the city is gradually opening and I am in love with the flowers so colorful and beautiful thanks for sharing Johnny keep these wonderful vlogs coming 🥰💞🥰
You're very welcome Denise and thanks for the kind words! There will be more on the way (I just got home from recording one, which I think will be up on Saturday). :)
The iOS version is working for me now! I just want to congratulate you and the other people in Toronto for working together in keeping distance and fighting the virus. I wish I can say the same about where I live, but, as I’m sure you’ve seen in the news, cases in the US has spiked, particularly where I live. 😩
That's great to know! I suspect what happened was TH-cam hadn't yet fully processed the video and it somehow wasn't yet working with the iOS version of TH-cam but was with the app on every other platform. Weird but glad it got resolved!
I hope it becomes permanent, I hate it when people walk just wherever they please... a little order goes a long way! I was expecting a bit more action too but maybe being a Wednesday and not being the hottest evening had something to do with it. I imagine this weekend will be pretty busy.
It's so great to see the city starting to look normal again! Ford announced yesterday that here in Windsor could enter stage 2 also but Kingsville and Leamington have to stay in stage 1. I was so hoping to head up for a getaway on Canada day and stay for a few days but we're so slammed at work I wont be able to. Hopefully in August I'll finally be able to take a few days and head up! I so miss my beloved city!! As always, thanks for posting!!
You're very welcome! I'm sure those extra measures are in place for good reason. Stay safe and in a few months from now you should be able to enjoy TO!
Thank you! Things were the same where I live, when they reopened our mall back in May. Only few stores opened, actually less than you have know. The mall is 96% back to stores reopened.
@@JohnnyStrides I'm in Atlantic Canada. We have been 0 cases for the last while. The Province next to mine, has had 0 cases since May. That's PEI. They only have 27 cases in total. We are starting a Atlantic Canada bubble on July 3rd, it'll be nice to travel again to other Provinces.
Good video walk in downtown Toronto, while businesses are finally opening up. Johnny, I perfer a narrative walk. I guess that's not fair to the viewers who prefer, silent walks. I enjoy your recent videos when you describe your current surroundings. When the viewers get a taste of the narrative walks, I think they want more of videos with voice. Anyway, this is a enjoyable video to watch. Thanks Johnny for your time, and expertise.
Thanks Ted! I understand your preference, I've decided to make both styles of videos moving forward for walking and cycling videos. I just recorded a narrated cycling video today so keep an eye out for that one (it should be up for Saturday morning). Cheers!
I hope to see that on Sunday, unfortunately I won't be in town tomorrow (Sat) but I got out tonight and it was great to see the patios alive and kicking.
aww... hopefully you can make it back sometime later. I've done Yorkville a number of times but haven't been up to Yorkdale yet although I'm not a huge fan of malls so I might just record a bike ride around the area. Thanks for watching!
@@JohnnyStrides wonderful..thank you..hopefully I can get back..if not I'll watch your videos. I send them to my mother who is stuck in South Africa..she appreciates them..thx again
Things are great here and how about NYC? I don't think the border will be opening anytime soon, it seems parts of the US are seeing record numbers (and the wrong kind of record...).
This walk was equally enjoy, as always. On the 21st walk, I suggested to keep the beautiful narration to a minimum. That was too much and this too little. Kindly therefore strike a balance in between.
Appreciate the feedback. I'll be doing some silent walks (as that is what the channel was built on and I'm sure much of the audience expects) and narrated walks. I will label them as such in the titles, the same as ActionKid. Cheers.
Damn, Toronto looks like a huge city. I am from Mumbai, India but was in Dublin, Ireland for a year and it was such a small city but there are very similar things too, but I am getting a very different feeling from this place. But I guess the far away towns will be the same as Dublin, row houses with small subarban centres? Is that the case ?? Would love to know. Also, really great walk. Thank you for making us a part of it. Also I am a Singer, surely visit my channel.
Just, Toronto does not have that much of people I guess, it should have though. I say this because in Mumbai, it is tooo many people and so people here are now used to the crowd so it might be a little different and lonely to be in a place with not much people, I did have a similar experience in Dublin.
Thank you very much. Toronto has sprawling suburbs and similar far away towns to what you have described. I'll check out your channel. Stay safe in Mumbai!
Johnny Strides Hey, thank you so much for the reply, that was a quick one. I would love to know more about the city and its acceptance to world music and new talent. As I am thinking of applying for PR and continue working in the music field, it would be great if I could get some inputs or insights. I am sure of one thing that it is as fascinating as seen in the videos.
Johnny 3 girls having drinks inside patio (guess its allowed) by the window at 2423, all wearing masks at the table, very strange. i like to go out but iy will seem strange wearing a mask at a restaurant taking if off and on to have a drink
Agreed it's a strange site. I've noticed a lot of establishments have people seated by the windows at the front. I guess that counts enough as being outside. I hope the city is lax with enforcing that if it's not allowed as I really don't see the harm. Wearing masks at a table while eating/drinking is certainly a weird ass sight though.
It's a city without an identity, just all kinds of random buildings and people put in the same place. A bit like Canada itself. Sorry if my comment offends anyone, but this is just my personal observation.
That's spoken like someone who's never been there and seen how distinct each neighbourhood is. The downtown core can come across as generic (if you somehow skip out on Queen W, Kensington Market, Chinatown, Yorkville, Yonge St etc...) but I'd say as a big city it has tons of character... at least in North America. Only NYC takes it a (er.. several) notches over it IMO.
@Transtastic & judgedred2015 hmm seems to be iOS users so far. It works on my PCs, Smart TV (Firecube, Roku & Tizen) and Android devices. This is strange...
I don't think you're alone in that lol. I've tried to stay active through recording walks and bike rides throughout all this, and I'm eating the same amount of takeout lol

It's a relief seeing life in Toronto kinda being normal again 🙏🇨🇦
That is exactly how I feel :)
Yes Toronto will get back to being the hidious ,culturally vapid, ugly wannabe America distopia it always was in no time !!!
Life looks normal slowly great video thanks.
Slowly indeed, a lot of the businesses (particularly bars & restaurants) are still getting pummeled sadly. Thanks for watching!
Your Narrated videos are really good. Keep up the great work Johnny 👍🏻
Thanks! I just recorded a new one this evening (it'll be up on Saturday morning).
Cheers!
Damn, I've missed your Toronto walks so much. This quarantine is having its toll on us all. Nice to see the city coming back to life.
Thanks for watching and it's great to see how far we've come, but there's still so much more to go... patience I guess.
everyone seems bubblier ...thank-you for sharing !

Another great video featuring the Eaton Centre !
I like how they have a one way system inside the mall. Surprisingly downtown was quiet last night despite patios being given the green light to open.

Something I don't miss about Toronto is the crazy-ass street preachers outside the mall entrance.
What about the Believe Jesus guy on the NW corner of Yonge and Dundas?
I do think it's a bit much but what can you do...

What is on that corner of Dundas/Roncy/Howard Pk Av where Gino Pizza was for years? It became a Wild Wing World ,is it still that?
hmmm I don't know this area well enough to know the exact spot you're referencing, hopefully someone else can chime in.
I am from Mexico. I was in Toronto 1 year ago. I have good memories about the city. I miss the city 😞
Glad you have good memories!
Hey Johnny how's it going? Is the border still closed?

what time was it?? I haven't been to downtown for almost 4 months, I might go downtown this month.
It was just after 5:00 pm... it's getting better to go downtown lately.
hope back normal day will back...but when I will go again..
Hopefully soon on both fronts!
best wishes from Montreal!
Thanks and stay safe!
Hi,good job ,I expected your narration .
Thanks! I will label the narrated videos in the titles so you can tell that way. The next two (Saturday + Sunday) will be narrated!
What are they building on the east side of Yonge, just south of Gerrard?
Those would be more condos, which sadly left The Big Slice without a home.
@@JohnnyStrides actually they moved way up past younge street.
Dundas Square aint right until preachers arrive yelling at everyone from each corner
lol.. when the Believe guy is back it will be back.
@@JohnnyStrides I love that guy. But with his style let's see if he tries a mask
