Good job Fender bringing these back. Could've left out the AVRI "II" though and just left is as American Vintage Reissue to save us all from the excessive naming nomenclature that all guitar companies are so bad at.
The real 70's Strats can be found for about the price of these reissues. Quality will be more consistent on the reissues, but that's about the only upside.
Both the 51 Tele and 54 "Telecaster Bass" as we called them back in the day the edges don't look right they are rounded too much. The edges on those look more like 60's and later models.
@@TinkerToneworks heavier strings works, but perfectly... I don't think so (been playing a JM for >10 years) Understand the vintage spec part but shipping a 2000+ dollar guitar with this bridge that simply does not work for most people is bonkers, considering that you can get something built with a mastery bridge put on in that price range
@@lockeempty4333 i agree the saddle design is really antiquated, and was made at a time where the thinnest strings you could get without splitting banjo sets were 12s. But if you put a little effort into it it's not faulty.
That Jazzmaster...😍😍😍😍😍
Great playing indeed. Really showing the characteristics of each model.
Great playing Joe! Loved the Jazzmaster best and 2nd best was the 51 Telecaster

I consider it like the Street Fighter naming conventions... so Fender really needed to call it "American Vintage Reissue II Super Turbo." 😉
Alpha Avri 3 remix
At least it wasn’t American vintage reissue max + pro
ONCE AGAIN YOURE ROCKIN ON THAT JM! Great playing! I came for the guitars but i come back to hear you play!
Jazzmaster for the win!
Great demo with the jazzmaster !
what beautiful playing!!!!!
I need that Dakota Red Jazzmaster 😎
I'm going to get myself a "new" '66 Jazzmaster!🎸
Love the Jason Isbell "Molotov" part on the black guard
I don't need another guitar. I don't need another guitar. I don't need another guitar...
Missing the Jaguar.
As usual 😕
the tele deluxe really did sound so pretty right from that first chord :)
Excellent demo- thank you for giving us a nice variety of styles with the Tele!
The 51 Telecaster sounds awesome
10:25 *chefs kiss* Juicy riff there I must say
wow that 54 bass is super cool
Jazzmaster!!

Are those actual wide range humbuckers?? Dang that's pretty neat
The 73' Strat you've got there is actually the Mocha version not the "aged natural" one. Cool video though.
The Strat was in Mocha, not Aged Natural, no?
What was the fuzz(?) used with the Tele @6:00? [Hoping it’s a pedal I already own….]
Is what he's playing at 2.51 an actual song or is that him freestyling sounded great.
What's the song for the Tele demo?
Ugh the cunife goodness 😩
I know it's vintage spec but we as human beings should stop putting the truss rod adjustment at the neck heel with no access
Agreed … shave it down and let us in trouble-free

The 50s Precision Bass is what we now know as the "Telecaster Bass."
😍😍😍🤤

That's a lot of different tones from that Jazzmaster. Not one of them jazzy :)
no thanks to bound necks. 62 jazzmaster forever
Nah that was the Mocha
the JM with the same broke ass bridge in 2022? come on lol
use heavier strings, you coward
It's supposed to be vintage spec. You can make the stock bridge work perfectly with heavy enough strings and a neck shim.

Pleased to not see any relic bs.
Please stop making a basswood body, Fender!
High gain on a Jazzmaster,,,,,???
Ever heard of a little band called Dinosaur Jr.?
This is why you aren’t a rockstar. Think inside the box
It's called being cool
