Kyle McCord showed tremendous poise in the final 1:30 of this game leading his team down the field for the winning score. This was a gritty game by both teams tonight
Ohio State has to make sure not to look past anybody. Penn State and Michigan are obviously going to be massive games, but every team in the Big Ten is dangerous.
I feel like this was a game they needed to have. Get used to tight games. Will probably be a theme.

Was a hard loss as an Irish fan. Mostly because they gave us hope, on their last offensive drive. Ohio State came up with some big plays on that last drive, they played well.
ND only had 10 players on the field on the game winning TD. WOW!!!

Big slobber knocker game at times. Reminded me of a Big Ten old school game at times.
McCord showed tremendous composure on the final drive, outstanding game for both teams
He showed poise all night. He might have shown some upset faces, but he never got mad or lost composure all night. He just won the starting job in my eyes.

Hartman sucked when it mattered most. Two 4th down plays sucked. Can’t make a handoff to seal the game. Can’t make a screen pass to seal the game. Pathetic. Looks like Astro bluebonnet bowl against Marshall.
That last drive he should’ve thrown 2 easy interceptions if they didn’t slip through the defenders hands he had a lot of chances to look good, Notre dame gave him way too many chances he didn’t deserve, but hey he paid it off unlike nd did so I’ll give him that.
McCord had some rookie moments throughout the game, but he showed some stone cold composure during that last drive. Helluva performance by him!
But he isn't a rookie. You don't call someone who has played in the NFL for 3 years a rookie when he finally becomes a starter. He is in his third year. A freshman is a rookie

Toughness they git outplayed that whole sword half and then NDs terrible play calling gave it to u. Oh don't forget the easiest pick in the world thats way dropped that would've of ended it with 50sh seconds left.

Man, Ohio State has been my favorite team my entire life. Notre Dame has been my second favorite team my entire life. This was one of the best games Ive ever seen. I love both teams, so mixed emotions. Honestly, I dont feel like Notre Dame should drop in the rankings

You should be happy to know that Bama fans are still jealous and mad that you took them out a few years ago in the playoffs, and they have always hated Notre Dame. Sooo, as a 34 year, lifelong Ohio resident, I was surrounded by Ohio State fans my entire life. It didnt take long before i ended up being a fan. That being said.. this game had given me so many different kinds of mixed emotions, im still trying get them under control, lmao. I truly just could not see them finding a way to pull off a win when there was 3-4 mins left and they trailed with Notre Dame having the ball and in total control with a first down and 3 T.O's remaining. I was shocked when we did force a punt and had 1 more chance. I still couldn't see them pulling out the win. But, they somehow converted on a couple of 3rd downs, throwing further down field. When they had 0 time outs left with 10-15 seconds left and got the first down at the 1 yard line. I was STILL doubting them!! Then, they reminded me who they are on basically the last play of the game to stun the entire United States by giving us the greatest game of the season!! I know its only week 4, but that games gunna be hard to top for greatest game of the entire season..

As an Ohio State fan, thank God that next week is our BYE game. My body can't handle the anxiety / stress I had during that entire game lol. If both teams can clean up the small mistakes like penalties, 10 players on field, etc. then I can see both of these teams making the CFP. Rooting for Notre Dame to win out just as much as the Buckeyes.

I have been an OSU fan since the 1980s and I don't remember such a strange ending. Purdue 5 years ago, Miami in the 2002 National Championship. This one felt different. Recovery from the Georgia game last New Year.
People can complain that NotreDam only had 10 players on field at last play of game all they want that’s the coaches fault. But time players make big time plays at end of game that’s just a fact.

@@johnblze667 it doesn't matter where the reciever was, McCord didn't leave the box bud. They drew vertical lines in orange up the field digitally while showing the replay on the NBC broadcast and he was clearly in between him. I think the ref didn't realize that the ball wasn't snapped from the middle of the field, so when he saw McCord on the right side of the hash he assumed he was out of the box. The announcers were very adamant it was the wrong call, it was just unfortunately not reviewable. Still won so who cares but it was 100% a mistake, and I'm sure the league will recognize it when they do their weekly reviews of blown calls by the morons in zebra lol
Went for first time with wife we drove from Columbus. She was all geared up in her ND gear, i was rocking my Ohio St gear, we couldnt miss this one. Agree with another comment here the ND fans were nothing but respectful and the atmosphere was absolutely insane at this night game in prime time. You had to be there to know. The drive home for me was better

They played above their talent level. They did not choke. ND drove the ball down our Buckeyes throats the whole third quarter and most of the 4th

Tons of depth, best secondary, 5 running backs, good QB, but bad coaching.
Instead of burning up tOSU timeouts and winning the game in garbage time, they gift the ball back with over a min instead of 20 seconds.
And they had 10 players on the field the last 2 plays.

Those were honestly poor plays on that last Notre Dame to drain the clock. The first play took too long to develop which resulted in loss of yards and then a pass which gave Ohio State even more time off a incompletion
Screen pass wasn’t a horrible call. Tuimoloau just shows up in the big moments

Im not one of the fans that really enjoys the trash talk. I knew Ohio State was going to be a serious challenge and I didn’t abandon the thought that we (ND) could lose, but I believed we had a chance. This loss burns. You would think I’d be used to it by now but that’s life as a sports fan I guess.
Why would you be upset, ND just proved they're a legit top 10 and in the hunt for the championship.... as an OSU fan there were a lot of things I was upset with (from OSU) but crazy respect to the Irish.... what a game!!! OH and by the way, Rudy was offsides lmao!!!
ND fans now can feel how OSU fans felt on that New Year's Eve game against Georgia. ND has a good or great team and I think they are a legitimate candidate for a BCS at the end of the season.
I appreciate it. I am proud of the fight the boys showed tonight. Both teams had to really fight for this one. The disappointment side just comes from that “big game curse” of ours. I keep hoping to have that breakthrough season where we get a shot at the championship. Sometimes we look like we can really do it but then a loss like this happens. Sure maybe we do actually have the fight to win a championship but we will never make it there if we can’t secure big game wins like tonight. Just sucks. Great game though and congratulations to your Buckeyes

What a massive choke from the ND defense. Offense is to blame too but it's pretty sad that a defense can't hold them out of the end zone for a minute and a half.
That prevent defense on the 3rd and 20 should get the DC fired. That's inexcusable.
OSU left points on the board and had a questionable 4th and 1 jet sweep and the personal foul drive killer on the 3rd down conversion. Yall didnt choke, the better team won.
