“We want reality and reality to be lined up...Authentic identity...Just 'Here I am...as I am'...Forgive, forgive, forgive...” “Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am first” (1 Tim. 1: 15). I noticed in your book, Habits for Holiness: Small Steps for Making Big Spiritual Progress, that you stated on three different pages: “We have to be who we say we are” (p. 99, 103, 132). Thank you, Fr. Mark-Mary. St Francis, pray for us!🙂

To be honest, it has only been until recently that I have mindfully listened to a few points about St.Francis' life. He never really appealed to me and I haven't put any interest and desire to get to know him better. But this is one of the examples of his life that really struck me because for the longest time I always thought about persisting in being my true self in relationship to God and to others. I love this so much.
Thank you Fr.Mark Mary for bringing up this example from St.Francis' life and sharing the meditation with us all!
    God bless!

I am Italian and I reassure that we call these side notes/commentaries "glosse" from Latin "glossae" which in turn comes from ancient Greek "γλῶσσα" (pl. γλῶσσαι) meaning "tongue" due to the shape of the note which was like a small tongue coming out from the text, and this is indeed the origin of the term "glossary"..

I can totally become carried away with the lives of the saints. I suspect some of the stories may have been exaggerated or romanticized. With Christ, all things are possible so maybe not. I am certain there are some incredibly holy people who live among us. I love Saint Therese of Lisieux because her biographies admit she suffered oversensitivity and was in some ways spoiled. One of my roots is vanity. I care far too much about how others perceive me. I sometimes wonder if I truly feel guilty for sin because I offended God or because I was caught and someone saw me. I aspire to be perfect not to please God or even myself but because I fear people's criticisms. Saint Francis of Assisi was very obedient to the Lord. I think obedience is very important when following God.

#AskAscension I am a catholic artist wanting to devote my life to God through my art. But I have a fear that at some point in time I will have to do works that are not for my religion during my job. Could you do a video related to this topic?

Yes guilty as charged but it is true when I am just being myself the positive feedback should encourage. People don’t like fake but real because there is so much fake and plastic.

He had the stigmata because he is the embodiment of the character in the bible. The word became flesh.
And not only once but again when he came as St Padre Pio last century. And the Davidic lineage does not end there, they are reborn again for the final time, immortal, as a woman. No longer exhibiting the stigmata though, because female bodies mutate 12x faster than male bodies and can accommodate higher consciousness faster.

As someone exploring Catholicism I mean this in the nicest way possible but I have no idea who he is the video was very confusing 😂. Seems all over the place with no context if you’re ignorant on this like myself lol.

St Francis ate murdered chickens? The patron saint of animals was a part in their murder? Have you read your official biography of Saint Francis the only one that is accepted by the franciscans written in the year 1260 by Saint Bonaventure. People would give him animals to eat or whatever and he would set them free if anyone is a true in reality spiritual son of St Francis they wouldn't have parts of tortured animals in the refrigerator or taking milk away from a cow who was not allowed to have the milk from its mother so if anyone says there the spiritual son of Saint Francis and supports the devil's factory farms in Florida houses and even worse uses the word of God to do evil as an excuse well where does that leave the world? So many lies in this world so much nonsense
