Sugat Kabanhawan Festival || Municipality of Minglanilla

Dubbed as the "Sugat Capital of the South" Minglanilla prides itself for it's grandiose celebration every Easter Sunday as the "Sugat Kabanhawan" or the meeting of the Risen Christ and the Blessed Virgin Mary is held. The "Sugat Kabanhawan" is celebrated every Easter Sunday and is also celebrated with all Catholic Churches around the world but only in Minglanilla, where "Sugat Kabanhawan" is a festival. A day to remember, a day to celebrate and a day to be merry, for Jesus the Christ has Risen from the dead. The festival also Honors the town's patroness, The Immaculate Heart of Mary.
