    In a historic move reminiscent of their ancient alliance in 303 BCE, India and Greece are set to sign a groundbreaking military cooperation agreement. This agreement marks a significant milestone in the modern history of both nations, with wide-ranging implications for regional and global geopolitics.
    The accord, encompassing joint exercises and collaboration across all branches of the armed forces, signifies a strategic alignment between India and Greece. It heralds a new era of cooperation, strengthening ties in defense, diplomacy, and technology innovation.
    With Greece's participation in international exercises like Inocos and Tarang Shakti, and the exchange of military personnel, the partnership promises enhanced interoperability and shared security interests. Moreover, discussions on regional security issues, armaments, and geopolitical developments underscore the depth of cooperation between the two nations.
    India's aim to bolster its presence in the Eastern Mediterranean aligns with Greece's strategic interests, fostering mutual economic and security benefits. The agreement reflects a broader trend of expanding partnerships beyond traditional alliances, contributing to a more dynamic and multipolar world order.

      Is it? I thought Alexander came he to conquer India, in the same light as Ghazni or Ghori & not to be our benefactor, but as "conqueror".
      Even now it is debatable whether Alexander tasted (his first) defeat or believe in the convoluted argument that he defeated Porus, but gave back his kingdom (weird thesis). Proponents of Western civilisation can't take argument of his defeat.

      Greeks (their civilisation) came up hardly 2000 years before Christ, while Indian civilisation (I mean what you call it as Hindu) was there from at least 5000 B.C. predating Greek civilisation by a good 3000 years at least. Hindu Gods & Goddesses came into being (in people's minds) from close to eight years at least, that means.

      @@dharmikrakshak8340It is not necessarily something wrong what you write or bad (i generally agree with it) but Greeks never stopped to be pagans / polytheists. To give you two examples : Greek Byzantine agiography presents Aristotle and other ancient Greek polytheist philosophers as saints. In Greek Byzantines schools and universities Greeks were learning Homer and others of our ancient Greek culture. Our language then is one of the best preserved languages in the world. This is a very strong link even stronger that any "religious" culture. The experts say, "the most alive and preserved language" (it will take a whole book to write such paradigms that depict what im saying here)
      Today there are many Greek pagans in Greece (one way or another) and there is a great revival spirit of pagan polytheism in Greece and whole Europe. Also, a general comment, one Indian must not confuse or be driven by sentimentalism to confuse, western-aglosaxon colonial Christians with Greek version of Christianity. Greeks never colonized "imperialisticaly" others on our history, not ofcaurse Hindus. Our Christianity It may not be the same like the before culture (but as we said there are some strong connections), but it is prohibited to Orthodox teachings and spirit the religious imperialism and propaganda to others (anyway, today in Greece a 20/30% let's say don't believe in any "religion" there are more like "agnosticists", but the good with Greece is that you will not meet so much atheists or "cynical materialists" like in other western countries. Greeks don't like nihilism , and a wrong understood "scientifisn" at all, even when they don't follow any known religion)
      I'm in favour of Greek pagan spirit my self, and ancient greek culture, I'm just saying how things are from an alternative perspective (that most don't know for Greece, many times even Greeks themselves) , because we must not lose the ability and desire and vision to walk beyond the walked path. As our ancient philosopher Pythogoras was saying "don't walk on the roads that are been walked and are walking by the many". (This is our "true" culture, and this is also the same for India. One should look and move with respect to the past, but to not forget to move forward. The "past" the "true", the "authentic" is many times, in some strange way in the future not it the "past" ).

    • @Trophonius
      @Trophonius หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@dharmikrakshak8340Also, the "adaption" of Christianism (in reality we didn't adopted it we "created" it, but this is another big discussion ) by Greeks was a necessity of the times. Greeks were under Roman rule and in the beginning Romans and Greeks were friends- co-operators but when Rome was in decay Greeks didn't want the Romans any more. But look what was the huge problem : the Romans have adapted everything Greek (and some times also perveted it) and Greeks couldn't use their culture to "revolt" , because this was now almost indistinguishable from the Roman culture. What to do ? The Greeks then from the periphery of the world of the Hellenistic times they hugged the "new" god, that had characteristics from our culture, because of the Hellenistic influence there from the Hellenistic times or just from the Greco - Roman culture that had those characteristics (it is another big discussivon also that). You see things are not so simple. There are many more to mention here that are even more important to understand one better something deeper of the Greek culture and paganism that gave birth to whole West. But those are just to take one a first taste, an example of another view.

    But this, for the uninitiated viewers this could be a surprise.
    It would be interesting to know the first steps taken by India and those political and non political agencies, if any, which brought about this scenario!
    Hope all works out well, as the world today is in a volatile situation!

    What's the difference between turkik and Turkish invasion

    • @MrPoornakumar
      @MrPoornakumar หลายเดือนก่อน

      @SeemaSharma-xi6vp
      Turkic people are from Central Asia. People of (the country) Turkey are Turkish. The connection is that the Central Asian tribe (Seljuq Turks) invaded Anatolia/Asia minor to establish their kingdom, that wiped out all vestiges of a prior ancient civilisations.
      In fact, the Turkish (Uthman, mispronounced as "Ottoman") Empire one more left-handed compliment. Spice trade from India to the Mediterranean lands, passed through Middle East that was all Turkish Empire, till WW I. Turkish Empire taxed the spices trade heavily (so much so that in Venice & Rome, black pepper used to cost its weight in gold) & Romans were straining to find an alternate route to India, not passing through Turkish Empire. Christopher Columbus, a young Genoese sailor, who read Aristarchus' thesis that Earth is a globe & not a flat sheet, planned to reach India by going west & round this sphere called Earth. He did find a financier in a Spanish queen, Isabella. He was the first European to cross an Ocean (Atlantic) and discovered the Americas that changed the Human history, for good. Till his last day Columbus believed that he landed in India (named those islands, "Indies" to which the prefix "West" was added later). Columbus could have taken some Indians from India, to see the difference between the two Indians!
