Hi Jason I just wanted to tell you that I have never been disappointed with any bunnahabhain period, and I have all the cask strength bunnahabhain 21,22,23 and as you know they are magnificent to say the least, I still have a full bottle of the bunnahabhain Manzanillo from about 6 years ago. But most important is what you bring to the table, and that's knowledge too us scotch drinkers, thank you for all you do for us, great review as always !!!
Bunna is one of the companies where I feel like they either make an effort to pick through and keep their best casks or they do something different distilling the stuff they sell off.
Aye, the regular Bunna 12 is amazing and great value. Recently picked upp 2x 2022 and 1x2023 Bunna 12 cask strength thats waitening to be opened. High hopes for them :)
Bunna 12 is an excellent whisky. Unfortunately, while you may be able to get it for 45-50 euros in Germany, in nz it today sells for 63-76 euros. Two-three years ago one could get it here for 47-48+ euros. So I think that's local gouging (importers? retailers?) rather than anything else. For a long time I was put off Bunna 12, having had a couple of (separate) tastes/samples that somehow both lacked richness, depth, and much sherry influence at all, but now I really like it.

7 or 8 years ago G&M did a heavily peated Bunna. It was epic and only £26 a bottle.
