I don’t understand what the secret is about finishing cattle. The secret has always been the corn factor, been that way since the 60’s. The sooner you get them on corn the better the finish. You can pasture feed them all you want but it’s the corn that finishes the animal. I’ve brought in 600 lb. calves and had them up to 1500 by May the next year. All because of the corn factor. the sooner the better.
