The only thing that look more delicious than those pancakes is the editing 👌🏼

Interesting fact about Taiwan's night markets is that their origins are closely intertwined with temple culture (the island actually has one of the highest per area concentrations of shrines and temples in the world). Early on street food vendors would set up small snack stalls just outside of temples on days of worship hoping to sell food to hungry patrons entering and leaving the temple. Over time more and more stalls accumulated around some of the larger temples and grew into the night markets that we know and love today. That's why you see that iconic multi-tiered temple right at the entrance of the Raohe Night Market in the video around

I'm glad you went to Raohe, which I also consider to be the best night market in Taipei (but not in Taiwan, those are in the south, but I'm biased because I live south!) 😘

Iz, I l really appreciate your open-mindedness and maturity when trying the stinky tofu, and the fact that you were willing to try it, even though it was a struggle....that is definitely not an easy food for the uninitiated to try, and you were honest but classy about your thoughts on it. Kudos to you for not spitting it out!

Really enjoyed my recent trip in Taiwan. I enjoyed roaming around the night markets and trying most of the recommended street food. I love the deep-fried squid the most!

So glad you are back and this is the perfect video! I'm trying to figure out where to have lunch with my son, who is interested in growing his palate. This is just the kind of food we are looking for...in Minneapolis. We are very fortunate to have a lot of places offering this kind of food, although not this experience. I agree...we ALL need a night market!
