    Love my Norseman. But I definitely should add a Rask to the collection! 😁😉

    Like the disassembly video and watch all of the grimso videos. My favorite is the norseman. If the rask had thumb studs I would of bought one already

    I had no idea the Norseman changed so much. I have one from 2017 that I got in 2018. Its probably been a year since I've carried it, but it was my most carried/used knife for almost 2 years. Great knife. It made me really appreciate the utility of tanto and recurve blade shapes.
    I got a Rask in for sharpening once, but thats the only hands on experience Ive had.

      It'd be cool to do a side by side with an older norseman and new, but I don't have an older one. Grimsmo youtube has something like that though.

    Congrats on both knives. They are beauties. Had to join your club! Thanks to your review I just ordered a distressed gold Rask to pair with my Norseman.

    Love the look of your Norseman. It is a “classic” Grimsmo. Keep both!

    Thanks for the view of the inside of these. I have 2 Rask with one in plum and streamline milling, and one with a plum to blue fade and crosshatch milling. I love them both, and just can’t get over the Norseman looking like a dodo bird beak. Sorry 😂

    I own both. If I had to choose. The Rask.

    • @chucknunface

      It's a more traditional and refined choice.

      @@chucknunface I carry them and find the Rask more useful. Both are great.

    Really like the Norseman’s. Such a well made folder. Have yet to even hold a Rask Visually I gravitate towards the bigger stuff.

    • @chucknunface

      Yeah the norseman got the rask beat in size. It's not huge though

    As much as I appreciate the more complex blade of the Norseman, I can't get "Angry Hippopotamus" out of my brain, so I'd go Rask. ✌️

    • @chucknunface
      @chucknunface  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The "angry hippo" is a striking visual 🤣

    So I know I’m late for this but the bounce in the norseman is I believe due to the double stop pins and just how smooth the drop is

    I've always been kinda curious about the Norseman, and Rask. I've got XXL hands so I'd probably go Norseman. And I do like that crazy hippo head blade shape.

    • @chucknunface
      @chucknunface  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Norseman would definitely be better for you. If you have large hands and want a premium carry with a trad blade shape, look at a Shirogorov f3 or f95

    Ok so I've always been infatuated with the norseman. I don't think I'd carry it much, but I like the multiple deployment options. Of course, in not really at the point where I'm pulling the trigger on knives that expensive. Cost aside, if I could afford one or the other, I'd have to grab up the norseman. I feel like if I didn't, I'd still feel incomplete. Like, yeah I have a grimsmo! And everyone on the playground turns to look at me and tells me how happy I'll be with my Norseman ...and I'd have to say...no it's the other one. The more practical one...the easier to sharpen model...the one that makes sense. 😅

    • @chucknunface
      @chucknunface  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haha yeah true. The rask is definitely a little "extra" in the finishing dept. The norseman is more distinctive though. I got double thumb lugs on this one (something I didn't touch on in the vid) but I can't spydie flick it at all

    As far as I know they photograph every knife they send out, look in the photo for the chip in norseman handle. It goes through a lot of hands, I have no idea how did they miss it.

    • @chucknunface
      @chucknunface  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I just checked and I can't see it in the photo when I zoom in. It was a very fine sliver and I knocked it off after shooting the video
