    Yes you right mate please dont say greek the blue door is just a blue door that's used everywhere in the Mediterranean and has nothing to do with greek or greece. Enjoy himara a beutiful Albanian town

      It's more about the color of the blue seawater. So it's perfectly combined then.

      Himara was a Greek town actualy, as most of the people nowadays are ethnic Greeks

    • @eddiexu77
      @eddiexu77 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@kkrauss8277 how can himara be a greek town when in the 15th century from Morea (todays modern greece)till the Albanian border with monenegro it was Albanian land. Thesaloniki only became greek in 1914 till then it was Albanian. 90 of 100 heros of so called geek revolution of 1821 were Albanian like Marko bocari and co. There are some ethinic greeks in Albania but they live in the border with greece. And they came to Albania in the 1900 when there was no borders and they remaind there and nowdays there Albanian citizens of course. The only town ever recorded to bare a epirus name is the town of Santa Sofia D'Epiro which is located in southern Italia and theyre Fanatic Albanians 100% Albanian. Your calims for anything youre saying are only a poor propaganda lead by the golden dawn. Learn some real history and you will find out the the 1800 map of the balkans greece did not exist and in 1821 if it wasnt for the Arvaniate Albanians ((which by the way fought for christinity and Not for greece because greece did not exist then)). Greece was never going to exist. modern greece has Absolutely nothing to do with ancient greeks they got desolved into Roman empire and dissapeared. Just because you took ancient greek name and live where they use to live it does not mean you derive from anicient greeks. Sllavs live in the northen part where anciet illyria use to be but sllavs are not illyrians Albanians are. Good luck with your ugly propaganda and stop trrolling Albanians on their own page. pusti

    I'm from Germany now living in the US. My mother is half german (grandma side) half albanian (grandfather side).
    Never had the liberty of meeting my grandfather so it's nice to see the views and day-to-day life there. Definitely thrilled to visit someday and get in touch with my roots!

    There is a very nice bar at the castle, but probably is closed due to the season. I was there last year and it was amazing, someone actually turned a house into a bar something quite unique, and the view was incredible. It's not easy to be found though as it's tucked between old abandoned houses.

    🇦🇱🇬🇧Why didn't you entered inside the church at the old town ruins..the door's not closed just had to give it a nice push , that church it is said to be from 1200 AD . I'm not from Himara but I've been there for vacation since I've been 7 years old. You need some time to come in too touch with everything in the area. Anyway have fun, tomorrow's Molly's Day 🍰🎂🍻🥂🍺🍬

    Guys it's called "Himara" or "Himarë" but not Himare..... ë is pronounced like "a" in "a book"... but you can also not pronounce it at all when it;s on the end of the word...so you can also say "Himar"...
    Btw ... you have a very good chemistry together so the videos you make are quiet amusing ... keep going like this :)
    P.s
    Molly looks like she is from Korça .... ahahahah

    Guys 8:24 bottom left corner: actually there is a bar over there just very hidden and they serve traditional albanian beverages like rakia or traditional albanian deserts. Missed it, it has a very nice view but maybe next time. Loving your vlogs theyre pretty fun to watch. And actually PS: the second blue door, there was a deaf old lady that spoke albanian but identified herself as greek , himara is a bilingual town so its not a surprise really that there are influences. Keep it up !

    Himara is another term for ashes.
    Psalm 78:41
    Again and again they tested God’s patience and provoked the Holy One of Israel.
    Psalm 102:9
    For I eat ashes as my food and mingle my drink with tears
    because of your great wrath,
    for you have taken me up and thrown me aside.
    My days are like the evening shadow;
    I wither away like grass.
    But you, Lord, sit enthroned forever;
    your renown endures through all generations.
    You will arise and have compassion on Zion,
    for it is time to show favor to her;
    the appointed time has come.
    For her stones are dear to your servants;
    her very dust moves them to pity.
    Isaiah 61:3
    and provide for those who grieve in Zion-- to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the LORD for the display of his splendor.

      Himariotes did not consider themselves Greeks until 1912 in any of the letters they sent to the Venetians and in fact in most of the letters they said that they were a few educated himariotes who spoke Italian and Greek, very late they began to consider themselves Greeks for a better pension from the Greek country , if you look at the surnames of himariotes 90% are ALBANIAN
