  • What is this!!! A fairly decent ww2 airborne impression... still needs some work, but its a good foundation for a really impression.
Still the same old M1911 popping out to say hello, so please just get rid of that.
A lack of CC2 again, but that is always an easy fix and makes a HUGE difference.
And not too many of the classic mistakes we see everyone else do.
With only minor waffle and nonsense. A good video. Thumbs up!

In the filthy thirteen book by Jake mcniece, he stats that jack Agnew another member of the F13 in Normandy pulled out his 45 pistol to finish off a wounded German at point blank range. So why yes your correct that non can be seen in the pre jump film/photos I think he can just get away with it if he wants to portray jack Agnew. But for the most part I completely agree with you on the matter(now that I have don’t my due diligence and done the research)

Jack Agnew was a demolitions guy, as such part of a demo team (engineers) so not part of a P.I.R. unlike 99.99% of 101st re-enactors. I have never seen a TO&E for airborne demo guys, not even sure if one existed back then for such a small unit. Which would make sense in why he had a .45.

@@dangermouse69div yea I’m basing my impression on the 506th demo team and yea it very hard to find out exactly what they would carry but I find jakes book to be very helpful for instance he says that each demo man have 2 8pound satchel bags of tnt haha

@@damagecase3271 that is a perfect example of what to do, he stated that every guy had those. So those you defo need to have. Yeah, that Jack Agnew book is really good, I did enjoy reading it too.

I'm basing my D-day impression from a ww2 paratrooper on D-day and he has a 1911 and a thompson pouch on suspenders its a good picture though

Basing an impression on one photo might look cool, but if that photo is not of a soldier who is standard, you're risking being farby. I'm sure if we looked hard enough we could fund a GI wearing just about anything we liked... is it a good idea to base an impression on these oddities? Probably not. I'd always adivse that if you see a 100 photots of something then that is what you should be doing. Forget what looks good and do what looks most acurate and correct.
